Patriots showed up big today. Huge win over New York, gives them inside track. Affectively two games ahead in the AFC East, now we've swept the series.

Brady was exceptional, at one point hit twelve consecutive passes. Very good match from him, no turnovers either.

Chad got a couple of cathces in the first quarter, but that was all. Did look good when he got the ball though.

MOM was easily Gronkowski. 2 TD's and over 100 Yards receiving, congrats to whoever has them in their fantasy team. Second year in the league and already one of the best Tight Ends going round.

It was also brilliant to see our defense look solid. Ninkovich had a couple of interceptions and played well. Nice to see us surrender under 20 points. However, we looked shaky against the run, gave up a few big gains on 3rd down and McCourty got banged up, so our DB stocks are even thinner now.

Philly's loss puts them at 3-6. Wow. Didn't expect that.

Packers up 14-0 in the first corner, courtesy of some Rogers magic and a punt return by Kobb.

Personlly, I'm tipping the playoffs to be
AFC
Pittsburgh
Patriots
Texans
San Diego (just. That kinda speaks volumes about the rest of the division).
Baltimore
New York
NFC
Packers
Saints
49ers
Giants
Detroit
Dallas

Rogers is easily the best qb this year. Did think this year he'd be up for the MVP. Proved me right, has looked very solid.

I think the Raiders and Ravens could get the wildcard slots, not Ravens and Jets in the AFC. And Texans could be up shit creek with Schaub out for the season.

Bears will get the NFC North wildcard, not the Lions. And to write off the Falcons is just daft.

Great work this morning. Still conceding yards at bad times, and a rookie QB made us look better than we were, but some very solid defending. Disappointed we couldn't shut out. Especially with FOUR 3&outs.

HOUSTON -- Suspended Green Bay Packers defensive lineman Johnny Jolly was sentenced to six years in prison Thursday for violating the terms of his probation for a drug conviction.

State District Judge Denise Bradley imposed the sentence despite tearful pleas from Jolly and his mother, Phyllis Jolly, to allow the 6-foot-3, 325-pound lineman to be treated for his addiction to codeine instead of going to prison. Jolly's aunt, agent and drug counselor also testified on his behalf.

"I want to go to rehab to get help," Jolly told the judge as he wiped away tears with a tissue.

Jolly, 28, was charged with possession of a compound containing codeine, a controlled substance, after a traffic stop in Houston in October. He also was charged with tampering with evidence for attempting to conceal the substance from the investigating officers.

Jolly's truck was pulled over after he was seen throwing a bag out the window. The bag wasn't recovered, but Jolly was seen dumping a cup believed to contain codeine on the floor. Two bottles believed to contain codeine were recovered from the vehicle.

The arrest put Jolly in jeopardy of receiving prison time because in April he had pleaded guilty to a codeine possession charge in a deal that wiped out an earlier charge and spared him from prison unless he stumbled again.

After the hearing, Jolly's attorney, Letitia Quinones, told The Associated Press that the player spent eight weeks in court-ordered rehab after his second arrest, but has only recently faced up to his codeine addiction.

"I don't look at Johnny as a criminal," Quinones said. "I look at him as an addict."

Jolly, who grew up in Houston, was a sixth-round draft pick of the Packers in 2006 after playing at Texas A&M. He was a starter for the Packers in 2008 and 2009. However, he sat out the 2010 season after being suspended by the NFL indefinitely the previous July.

Tebow driving Denver forward as I speak. Watch as he loses it under pressure when they get inside the Jets 10.

Scratch that. Tebow runs for 20 yard TD. Broncos up by 4 with under a minute to go. Great drive. Still doesn't change the fact he's crap when he is unable to run the football.

This. Fail to see the hype. Sure, he can run the ball, but as soon as he faces a defense which stuffs the run, he can't do anything, I'd take Cam Newton over him any day, at least he can throw the ball a bit.

Fortunately they've got some tough games coming up. @Chargers, Patriots, & Bears. Wouldn't surprise me if the Vikings beat them either tbh.

This result is basically just a reminder of how shit Mark Sanchez can be. Wouldn't surprise me if Jets' ended up being Manning's destination at the end of the season.

Watching Oklahoma State vs Iowa state. Great game. Iowa scored a touchdown to make it 24-14 and close the gap to 10, then went for a surprise onside kick, which they perfectly recovered. They went down the field, before fumbling. Oklahoma State got out of their own 5, before they fumbled at the 30.

Big question this week: Is Sanchez going to be dropped if they have another mediocre result?

Quote:
A poll of players has revealed that Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh is the dirtiest player in the NFL.  A poll of fans has bestowed a slightly less desirable honor on Eagles quarterback Mike Vick.

Per Tom Van Riper of Forbes.com, a new poll from Nielsen and E-Poll Market Research has found that Vick is the most disliked NFL player.  Specifically, 60 percent of the respondents identified Vick as a player they “dislike,” “dislike somewhat,” or “dislike a lot.”

Jets receiver Plaxico Burress finished second, with 56 percent.  Third on the list was Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, at 49 percent.  In fourth place, former Pats defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth, with 46 percent.

All four players have had trouble with the law, which surely has done nothing to enhance their standing.

Bears quarterback Jay Cutler (38 percent), Patriots receiver Chad Ochocinco (35 percent), Eagles quarterback Vince Young (32 percent), Raiders quarterback Carson Palmer (31 percent), Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo (29 percent), and Panthers tight end Jeremy Shockey (29 percent) also made the list.

@Afro- college OT is different. They start from the oppositions 30 yard line and attempt to score. In this case, Iowa scored a touchdown. Oklahoma then got the ball at the opposition 30 and had to score a touchdown, otherwise they would lose, which they did. Basically, both teams have a go at scoring and if the scores are tied, another OT period is played. But, after the end of the first OT and one team has scored more, then that team is the winner.

No real surprise that Suh has been rated the dirtiest. He plays pretty hard. I like him and rate him. I think the dirtiest player would be Vick, personally, he stands on LB's after the play.

Another frustrating loss to the Falcons but good signs from Jake Locker who came on after Hasselbeck injured his arm. Threw 2 TDs and 140 yards in just over a quarter.

I think that was mostly disappointing from the Offence. Jennings had a really poor game and droped a number of catches. As did Finley before his injury. It was Rodgers' worst game of the season (still a 112 rating). The D are topping the league for interceptions (16) but also conceding the sixth most yards. The main thing that hurt us was the pure size of the Bucs' O players. Those guys are HUGE and guys like Blount are impossible to stop when they get on a roll - see Blount's TD where he shakes seven tackles.

Huge result for the Lions in the shoot-out with the Panthers. Massive fantasy points for Stafford killed me this week. Pretty unhappy with the number of my players out (two with injury and three with the bye).

Fuck me Eli Manning is a pain in the arse. I had the Giants down for an easy win. Glad I didn't put money on it.
