Also interesting to note the 49ers are yet to concede a rushing TD this year. Remarkable.

They conceded a rushing TD to Marshawn Lynch on the weekend.

I don't think the Saints beating the 49ers, in SF, is a forgone conclusion. How much Brees can throw it will depend on how the weather holds up. If the weather is bad, in SF have a fantastic run defence and great running offence, so it plays into their hands. Chances of it being windy in SF are pretty good, especially if it's a late afternoon game.
The Steelers chances rest on Big Bens ankle. If he stays healthy, you can't count them out. But I don't think he is, so agree the AFC title should be Ravens vs Pats.
I read on ESPN Brady is on a 34-1 home streak in the regular season and a 0-2 home streak in the postseason. Again, cold weather might affect his ability to throw.

I like this stat as well: Aaron Rodgers has 39 more touchdown passes than interceptions -- a greater figure than the total number of touchdown passes by any NFL quarterback other than Drew Brees.

I think the Steelers chances will depend on who goes through out of Denver and Oakland. Steelers can beat Oakland, but I don't think they'll be able to beat the Broncos D, with Roethlisberger unable to roll out of the pocket as easily as he usually does, guys like Von Miller and DJ Williams are going to be a nightmare for him.

As for the Saints and Niners. I think it's wrong to discount the immense rush threat that the Saints possess. Between Thomas, Sproles and Ingram, they're going to be tough to stop and there's going to be a lot of i-formation going on.

Looking at their Rush D, the teams they've played haven't exactly been rushing champions...when they playe dthe Eagles, sure they kept McCoy to 18 yards, but they gave away 75 to Vick...and another 400 in the air. They conceded 92 of 253 yards against the Ravens on the ground and lost. Against the good rushing teams they over-commit to shutting down the run and it leaves them vulnerable to big plays in the air, which Brees can capitalise on. Also worth noting that Alex Smith is an awful QB.

Don't get me wrong, I'd rather play the Niners at Lambeau than the Saints. But I can't see the Niners beating them.

Predictions this week: Packers, Texans, Colts, Jets, Bears, Patriots, Saints, Eagles, Niners, Cards, Falcons, Bengals, Steelers, Broncos, Chargers, Giants.

The Broncos game will definitely be an interesting one, and the Colts are going to find it hard to out-awful the Jaguars to the number 1 draft pick.

Pretty straight forward weekend. Exciting games, but no real shocking results.

Broncos v Kansas was fucking woeful.

No surprise that the Packers v Lions was a shoot-out. If only Rodgers had played, he'd have broken Brady's record for TD's in a season. As it is, he breaks the record for passer rating, finishing the season with 122.5. Hell of a game by Flynn, SIX TD's is insane, especially coming from behind and getting it right this time (Unlike last season v Patriots). He'll get snapped up on FA this year by someone like the Jets or Dolphins (depending where Manning ends up).

The big question for the playoffs: How does the team that's conceded the most 40+ yd plays this season stop Calvin Johnson?

Going to spend tonight watching this morning's College Bowl games. Quite the end to the Michigan State game. Watching the Rose Bowl at the moment. Good God Monte Ball is good. Good bet he'll be the highest selected RB this year, he's SO hard to stop!

Only just really started watching NFL in the last few months so I'm very green but Stafford and Brees looked quality, it was a great game to watch.

With nothing to do in the uni break I've found myself watching a few games on ONE here and there and I'm liking what I'm seeing, the Saints seem to have featured in most the games I have caught so I'm leaning towards supporting them if I ever decide to get into the game but I'm still way to new to everything at this stage.

Yeah, he's only just 21 so I'm not really surprised. But he'll be a first round pick when he does for sure. He's averaging 130yds and 2.8 TD's a game.

The games this morning were definitely interesting. Dalton just couldn't handle the pressure unfortunately. Stafford performed well...but not well enough compared to that other machine...

2 TD's and 211 yards for Johnson is immense again, but fark they have no running game at all. Big night for Sproles as well. 80 odd all purpose yards and a handy 2 TD's.

Always good to have another NFL fan on here.

Good win for the Saints this morning. Saw the first half and Stafford was ripping up.

Hoping Tebow can get up over Pittsburgh tomorrow. I'd rather face the Broncos again than a Steelers side with a defense that will shut us down if we play like we have in the past two weeks and concede huge leads. Interesting to note the Patriots haven't won a playoff game in the past three seasons.

Keep meaning to post a picture of my Brady jersey I got for Christmas.

Getting a broner for Fredsta being an NFL convert.

Stafford's game was quality this morning. Honestly, I think if he hadn't had to dodge in between a marching band and US army flag girls for his warm-up he'd probably have been a lot more focussed and closed the game out. That was a bit of a dick move by New Orleans.

It isn't a question of whether Tebow can get up over Pittsburgh, more a question of whether the Broncos D - specifically Von Miller and DJ Williams - can maul an immobile Roethlisberger (who's put on about 10kg in the last couple of weeks). Expect to see a lot of blitzing from the Broncos D.

Disappointing effort by the Bengals, thought they were a definite show. Ravens should tear apart the Texans next week though.

Ben Roethlisberger was fucking shocking once again. Why the Steelers continued to play him in that shape with so many injuries I'll never know.

Easy wins for the Ravens and Patriots next week IMO. I thought the Bengals would put up more of a fight but Dalton really choked.

In the NFC the Niners and Saints game should be a pearler. Prolific O v Brutally organised D always makes for good games. I'm hoping that the Niners can get up, because I'd rather the Packers take on Alex Smith than Drew Brees if they win.

Packers v Giants is an interesting one. We've already beaten them once, but I marked them down early in the season as one of a handful of teams that could knock us off. Jason Pierre-Paul is going to need double-coverage from the O-line for sure.

The Giants are a very unpredictable team. The way Eli has played this year has been nothing short of brilliant. I think he could keep up with Rodgers in a shootout. But I'd still take Green Bay over them. Even so, that unpredictability makes the game an interesting one.
