The funniest thing out of all of this is that after all we've tried to fuck ourselves up if we beat Stoke next week and Chelsea beat Utd then we'll be only 3 pts off the top with 2 games left  And I know I know just makes you feel worse but what's done is done no point dwelling on it now just try and enjoy our last 3 games of the season.

No I'm still actually upbeat because as you pointed out we actually have an outside chance of stealing the title. Though it's unlikely, it's never over, til it's over!

I'll only be upbeat if we win next week and Chelsea win, until then it's just some faint hope, but then again United do have Blackburn and Blackpool to finish their season, although I wouldn't like playing either of those 2 with them playing for survival possibly. Whether we win the title or not if United lose next week I wonder if anyone will criticise them for lacking bottle when it matters like they love to do to us  I reckon it'd be the most hilarious title win for a long long time if we can somehow by some divine miracle pull it off  Edited by sydneycroatia58: 2/5/2011 04:22:07 AM

I too thought koscielny was immense, one of his better performances this year. Was also suprisingly impressed with arshavin when he came on. Really showed the hunger and desire that he is often criticized for not having, especially when we lost the ball.

I am with a few of you fans in being a tad dissapointed, as to why they can't do that every week. Some players are there for the cameras more than anything which doesn't help, when they show a bit of spirit they can be a real threat as shown last night. But you can't win a title when you only turn up to play if it is match of the day.

I think last nights game showed just what we are capable off when we are hungry, i think the players have felt like they let the fans down and really needed that one, as a lifetime gunners supporter im happy for what the boys have acheived season in season out, at the end of the day we have been one of the top teams over and over year in year out, when we do win the title its going to be all the more sweeter as a fan to know the team spent years working there asses off for it and never gave up :).

I quite liked this. What February looked like from an Arsenal fans perspective.

So, Jack's been called up into the U-21's squad for the summer.
I'm so worried this is only going to end badly. Just stupid that he's been called up.

Unfortunately I don't think there's much the club or Wenger could do.
The best thing Wenger could do is to put his foot down with the FA and try and prevent Jack from being called up for games in August and September so he has a proper break coming back from the U-21 Championship, and isn't rushed back into a whole heap of games.

I more hope what happened to Walcott doesn't happen to Jack. Walcott went in 2009 and it fucked up his whole next season and led to him missing out on the WC.

So it looks like with Djourou out injured Thomas Vermalen might be making his comeback this weekend against Stoke. Will be good to see him finally back and playing. Apparently had a blinder against Man Utd in the reserves last week.
We've recently been heavily linked with Blackburn's Phil Jones, with our Chief Scout Steve Rowley apparently been to watch him a lot recently, which is an indicator that we are seriously interested. Another one of these players who can play both CB and as a DM.

I've seen us linked with Jones too - can't see him staying at Rovers next year.

Some not so great injury news ahead of Stoke with Nasri, Cesc and Abou all out through injury and Clichy is also a slight doubt with a hamstring problem.
Arsene has also confirmed that Rambo will start which will make for an interesting spectacle.

But yeah, I can't see him staying for more than two more seasons.

Alt of rumours around today that we will sell Bendtner in the summer and go for Karim Benzema as a replacement. I think Bendtner will leave, and if we could get Benzema in, well I wouldn't be unhappy

Very hard to get Benzema. I remember when United were trying to tie up a deal with him, apparently his agent isn't the easiest to please. He has done well for Madrid when played but Mourinho sees him as a bench player. I would love to see him in England and more so United but Arsenal would be a good fit also.

Yeah apparently we haven't approached Madrid yet, only spoken to his agent and been advised a price, thought to be around 20m or so.
Yeah I think if he came to England he'd fit best at Arsenal or United more so than Chelsea or City.
