That's assuming we don't buy 2 midfielders, if we buy Mata and Jadson who we are apparently interested in it'll probably switch to Jadson where Mata is, Gervinho to the right and Mata on the left.

i think thats a pretty strong midfield and strike force. now to fix up the CB status and we'd be done :)

Thats my preference, I'd like to see a left and right footed winger so they can switch sides varying between cutting in and crossing with Arshavin (I know hes a righty) competing on the left and walcott on the right. If and when Cesc goes I hope the 4231 goes too.

Rumours that this early press conference could be a player unveiling, and with rumours that we want to sign Scott Dann before the weekend it could be. It'll probably turn out to be nothing but will be interesting nonetheless.

This is all getting to be pretty damn exciting. I've pretty much accepted Nasri and Cesc are gone. Probably getting my hopes up but all these players mentioned that we're interested in are solid. If we pick up the 2 mids and a cb I'll be beyond stoked. Excited to see what happens over the coming days. Just wish all of this could've happened a week or 2 ago.

I am under the growing impression that Arsene Wenger is under a contract whereby any money he has left after transfers gets put into his bonuses.

hey, im just saying, he has more money availible to him after the takeover, has one of his best players who wants more money (but not bags more than the rest of the team) decides not to pay, and thinks 'i know, i need a new defender, so instead ill sell my best two players'

First of all Nasri not one of our best 2 players. I'd have Cesc, Vermaelen, RvP and Jack all above him, and I wouldn't pay the wages he wanted either when he didn't deserve them.

Secondly it's not as if he had truck loads of money given to him after Kroenke took over.

As for a new defender, he wants to buy one, and will. Cesc and Nasri especially were most likely going to leave anyway. Cesc I would rather keep, but Nasri I am more than happy to see the back of for 20m from City.

Plus Arsene doesn't really have a choice with Nasri. He either sells him now, or loses him for free next summer.

Reports that Jadson and his agent are already in London for discussions with Arsenal.

With the high probability of Cesc leaving I hope Vermaelen gets the captain's armband. He's our most vocal and commanding player and would fit the role perfectly. Although I assume it will automatically go to RVP, I don't think it should go to a striker.

It'll go to RvP with Vermaelen as vice captain.

i also think it should go to Verm as he is the most commanding player on the pitch from my point of view

I love Arsene, I really do, but sometimes I think he needs a good smack in the head. Don't try and say Nasri is sick and that's why he's not playing when he played fucking 90 mins for France yesterday. Just say he's leaving. Just be straight up for once.

What a complete fucking waste of time. Absolutely no point to that and it has just gotten the fans even more offside. Just wait for the reaction if we don't win tomorrow.

At least be fucking honest. Just say that Cesc and Nasri want to leave and that's why they're not in the squad. Is it that fucking hard.
