Haha pot meet kettle. I'm glad we've made clear distinctions between what childish names for our enemies are petty and which aren't

It took me a long time to figure out the spud line. Even then I thought your supporters could do better. You could always resort back to anti-semitism, it was what you were best at in the hooliganism era.

Exactly. Now there is a petty-ness scale?

Your lot must be flooded with ideas given you could potentially face two former gunners this Sunday in Gallas and Ade?

I hate the song, but we'll probably be stealing one of your songs about Ade's mother being a whore and his dad washing elephants. As for Gallas, meh he'll probably get some boos but most people are over him

Tottenham Hotspur = Arsenal Reserves?

Anti-semitism is really out of order.
We've got Yossi Benoyoun!

Given recent matches that doesn't really fit does it?

Still, pretty sure your lot came up with the term Yid. Its just a shame we took it as a term of endearment and not an insult :p

Your lot came up with boring, boring Arsenal and one nill to the Arsenal. Now gooners sing those songs lovingly!

I still use the term yids when talking about Tottenham fans without being anti-semitic. Arsenal fans aren't really anti-semitic anymore, it's the chavs at Chelsea and West Ham that are anti-semitic. Maybe the odd joke about foreskins and skullcaps are mentioned every now and then, but thats harmless banter compared to some of the filth the rest sing.

I think considering we're in Europe's premiere competition and you're in the mickey mouse cup, the term Arsenal reserves really does fit.
It wasn't a dodgy bit of lasagne last time, you were just shit!

When my lot came up with that week in week out Arsenal would throw the kitchen sink at the opposition and then play 6 - 5 - 0 to eek out the 3 points once they went ahead.

Bit rich considering we went further than you lot last year in the CL and beat you at home.

Its a shame Nasri is gone, we had some lovely Gooner related chants for that twat :(

Really  We came up against Barcelona, you came up against a Milan without some of their key players.

And remind me, how many times have you guys competed in the Champions League? And how many times have you guys made it past the group stage?

Big game really. Our first home CL game, and vital to get the 3 points, not only because of the draw in the first match, but just to build on the wins against Shrewsbury and Bolton. I can't remember the last time we put 3 wins in a row together.

Even with all the injuries I think we have enough to get past Olympiakos. I think, and I'd like to see something like this.

---Szczesny---

--Sagna---Song---Mertesacker---Santos---

---Coquelin---Ramsey---

---Ox------Arteta--------Arshavin---

---RvP---

Thinking it'll be:

---Szczesny---

--Sagna---Song---Mertesacker---Gibbs---

---Frimpong---Ramsey---

---Rosicky------Arteta--------Arshavin---

---RvP---

With Gibbs a possibility at LB to keep some consistency at the back

looks like its:

---Szczesny---

--Sagna---Song---Mertesacker---Santos---

---Frimpong---Rosicky---

---Ox------Arteta--------Arshavin---

---Chamakh---

Very risky, especially Chamakh up front, he's looked like a poor man's Emile Heskey since xmas. Luckily we have RvP, Park and Rambo on the bench.

Pretty poor first half. Being exposed down our right continually with Sagna thinking he's a winger and being caught out whenever Ox loses posession. A little bit of smarts wouldn't go astray occasionally.

Arteta is the only one out there who looks composed on the ball, and has the ability to find a target with a pass. Again Rosicky is well below par, and Arshavin has rarely seen the ball on the left.

So frustrating to watch.

Your back four is still disgustingly bad. Mertesacker is a plonker. Nobody wants to challenge for the ball in this game, except Rosicky and he got booked - seemingly for being the only one willing to.

Cannot believe you keep conceding soft, shite goals from set pieces. How has this not been addressed yet? Surely Arsene takes responsibility for that.

Mertersacker has been solid at the back tonight, we're continually getting exposed out on the right with Mirallas floating in the space that Sagna leaves whenever he goes on a run. Everytime it turns over he has a paddock to work in and players are getting dragged out of position. Frimpong is the worst, continually gravitating to the ball while a runner sneaks in behind him.

Not as easy as we would've liked, but with the injuries we had that's no surprise. Just glad to get the win in the end and build up some more confidence.

Chamberlain was excellent in that first half and showed he's more than ready at this level, a lot more ready than Theo was.

I thought Santos played well, and took his goal excellently. Mertesacker was solid I thought and Song was outstanding, he seems to have stepped up a level again this season.

I also thought Chamakh played well in the first half and linked up play well. Unlucky not to get a goal. Arshavin, I love you, but you just keep proving over and over again why you're a sub. Thought Arteta was excellent in the middle, brings a very calm presence in there. Frimpong acquitted himself very well again, and showed that we do now finally have some cover in the middle for Song.

Just on Song, now that we have cover in the middle, I would be very tempted to have him above Djourou in the pecking order for CB, especially after how he played tonight.

Positives:
The Ox!
Andre Santos
Alex Song is a better centre half than Squillaci
We won!
SCZ really hates conceding goals

Honestly, if we can cut down on those goals from set pieces and lofted balls we'd be a great side. It only takes one goal to change a game. Feel sorry for Chamakh, thought he had a great game, he'll bounce back I'm sure. We really should've had this game won by half time. We make it so hard for ourselves.
Don't take the piss out of Frimpong, he works hard, is enthusiastic and adds some quality steel to our midfield. One of my favourite Arsenal players at the moment.

What I did like is that after the debacle for the Olympiakos' goal we seemed to stop this stupid fucking zonal marking and suddenly it was a lot better

It really is great to actually have some competition in the middle now with Frimpong and Coquelin coming through.

Song is probably our 4th best CB behind TV, Per, and Kos  I'd play him there ahead of Djourou from now on, especially with the extra cover in the middle.
