Some reactions on these rumoured comments:

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has promised he will never leave the club.
"Can I promise I will be at Arsenal for ever? I can promise that, yes. I've been at the club since I was nine and I've learned to love it. I'll never quit Arsenal."

I sure know he is as committed as anyone I've witnessed in an Arsenal jumper before.

Note: I don't have a source, I assume twitter or an interview, someone else might know?

Yeah it was in an interview I'm pretty sure, and it is great to hear a player say that, especially one who's been with the club since he was 9. Usually I'd take something like this with a grain of salt, but Jack is one of 3 young players at the club who if they said this I'd take it seriously. The other 2 being Szczesny and Jenkinson.

US star Brek Shea arrives 'for experience'

By Richard Clarke

Arsène Wenger has explained the agreement that has temporarily brought highly-promising midfielder Brek Shea to Arsenal.

The 21-year-old American is one of the most exciting talents in the MLS and, with his campaign at FC Dallas now over, the League were looking to place him with a leading European club in order to gain experience.

Arsenal were a natural choice.

Shea will train with "top prospects" at the Club, as well as the first-team. Wenger is keen to give the 6ft 3ins US international a run in the Reserves but he accepts that regulations may scupper that plan.

"It's a training period for him to see what his top level is like," Wenger told Arsenal Player. "The MLS encourage their players to go out to Europe during their off-season for improvement, practice and to have contact with top-level football. That's why Brek Shea is coming here. It is a learning experience for him.

"Brek will train with the first-team when it is possible and practice with the best prospects of the Club as well outside of the normal sessions. There is not a better place than the Premier League to do that."

Shea is one of the three players listed for the MLS Most Valuable Player award this season and Wenger is considering assessing his ability in the Reserve team during his spell in London.

"If it is possible I would like to do it," said Wenger. "We will have to see how it goes because we play many games now and we have to check how it works on the legal side too."

Yeah I'd say it would be. He'll trial with us for a few weeks mainly to keep fitness up and what not, but if we like what we see then there's every chance that we'll buy him.

The only thing I know about him is the fact that I made a transfer search on a bunch of criteria that was catered to my footballing playing style and philosophy on FIFA 12 Manager Mode, and Shea was one that came up. He was too pricey for my UD Almeria side at the time, and later I moved on to 2 or 3 of the other targets that came up.

That is all I know, I promise!

So the bore of the international break has well and truly set in.

Good news there isn't any injuries I don't think, and RvP is back at the club after Holland let him go home :d

Here he is with his POTM award and some award about being the first to 10 goals which I had no idea even fucking existed

So with Jenkinson being the only new injury from the WBA game I think we'll see something like this.

---Szczesny---

---Djourou--Koscielny--Vermaelen--Santos---

---Song---Arteta---

--Walcott--------Ramsey--------Gervinho--

---RvP---

I'll be honest I don't like Koscielny at RB. I think Arsene is picking a team to make Mertesacher feel good. On form Koscielny starts at CB and Mertesacker is on the pine... Having said this we don't have a RB putting their hand up to claim the spot.

Here's hoping we get a decent win tonight. Oh and RvP get's anothe rhat trick for club and fantasy stats! Go Gunners.

Of course, with out a doubt, but with Jenkinson injured so it's either Kosc or Djourou at rightback and I don't know about you but I've got much more confidence in Koscielny.

He played a full game in Europe a few weeks ago from memory. Honestly though, I've been impressed every time I see Benayoun, he appears to be creative and adventerous going forward. Competent on the ball and capable of playing 'the Arsenal way', he still does the hard work defensively.

Something I've noticed from Arsenal recently, is that the players work harder defensively. We're more experienced, more balanced, generally less silly. We've got a meaner streak about us. Arsenal really, really needed that. Good to see.

First goal last night? Terrible defending.

Can't believe Wenger went and berated the official after the goal. Should be suspended (again) for having a go without cause. I couldn't find anything even remotely contentious about Morrison's goal.

Have to say I am happy for Arsenal that they fought hard and got the points after being behind. Well not happy but you know.

But I couldn't help but laugh at them conceding that first goal. Somethings just never change

SO good to get the win after coming from behind. These are the games which in past years we'd just panic like crazy after going a goal down, or be unable to hold out after going ahead.

Only negatives are the defending for Norwich's goal and the fact that we didn't score at least 4. Apart from that nothing to complain about.

MoM for me has to be Theo, he was fucking excellent all game and so good to see him start to silence the doubters again. His link up with RvP is just unbelievable. His last 7 assists in the league have all been for Robin.

Have to say I did like Koscielny at RB and would be happy with that back 4 until Jenkinson is back because apart from his mistake Mertesacker was solid and Vermaelen, well he was nothing short of outstanding.

Beat me to it.

For Arsenal's last 10 goals, how many weren't scored by RVP?

I'm sorry I wasn't aware that mattered. Our style of play is set up to give RvP as many chances as he needs, he's just taking advantage of the excellent service he's getting. It's not like he's beating multiple players by himself and scoring.

The way people talk about us being a one man team you'd be forgiven for thinking it was Robin putting the ball on a plate for himself last night and not Theo.

Oh and to answer your question of our last 10 goals Robin has scored 6(3 against Chelsea, 1 against WBA and 1 against Norwich)

It matters in the sense that if RVP gets injured well you are well and truly fucked. And he does have an injury prone past.

But that said for Arsenal's sake I hope he doesn't get injured too soon as its great to watch and as captain of my fantasy team he is giving me heaps of points. :)

I do love how people say if he gets injured we are well and truly fucked without actually having any knowledge of what will happen.

Statistics say that when a team relies so heavily on a striker, as Arsenal do with RVP or Liverpool with Suarez (or back in the years with Torres), they will struggle when he is injured. With Cesc and Nasri gone, Arsenal really do rely on RVP to no only score but to create. He is the best player at Arsenal by far.

Who else do Arsenal have as a true out and out forward? Walcott is best on the wing, Chamakh has been immensely poor from when I have seen him. Chu-Young Park hasn't done much to show he has settled. Gervinho and Arshavin are also best suited on the wings.

The problem for Chamakh is that, and I'm not denying he's been in horrible form, but it's not exactly easy to get into any sort of form when you're hardly playing, same with Park. The problem is we won't know how much or if we will struggle without RvP until we are actually without him for a sustained period of time. So until that happens any predictions about how fucked we will be without him are nothing short of useless.

But fair enough no point continuing this argument when you are pretty much refuting everything.

But you surely can negate that RVP is the most important player in your squad at the moment by far and seems irreplaceable to get someone playing at the standard he is in your current squad?

Yeah Chamakh did make 29 appearances, although 11 of them were off the bench and all the rhythm and momentum he built in the first half of the season he lost once Robin was back and he just couldn't get any sort of run going. Much like what is happening this season.

Of course I'm not going to deny that Robin is our most important player, that'd just be stupid. All I'm saying is that all these doomsday predictions about how fucked we are once Robin is injured are pointless until something/if something happens.
