Well done by Diaby to win the ball back and a nice little ball for Theo with a very calm finish

Nice finish. Diaby is also impressing me. Certainly adds something different to our team.

Also encouraging that he's been able to start all 3 games. Much better from us now, really come back into the game after a very slow start. And just as I say that we go down 2-1  Edited by sydneycroatia58: 29/7/2012 07:36:15 PM

Some promising signs going forward, especially from Theo, Diaby and Ryo, but still some big problems defensively.

Good pre-season usually means bad season... that's my superstition at least anyway. Personally if I had it my way we'd be in that Austrian camp, sounds like a great place to get ready for a football season. Money and all that I suppose.

Really liking the look of Eisfield. Hopefully he can put his injury problems behind him.

Or not  it seems both managers agreed not to bother with it.

Was a decent performance. Took some things out of it:
- Dont feel Oxlade is suited to playing centrally yet. Much prefer him outwide taking players on. - Myiachi is not ready to compete for a first team place yet. Another loan would do him a world of good. - Diaby. A genuine top player when not injured. If he stays fit, we are a much stronger team. - Miquel needs first team football. Should definitely go out on loan.

Arséne Wenger wrote:'Bendtner, Squillaci and Park will be on their way to go somewhere, Arshavin, it depends. We have to sit together and talks. He could still have a future at the club.' :-k If we get Cazorla I really think we should just offload AA even if for cheap. He's on a hefty wage and we'd have more than enough attacking midfielders/wingers. On that topic I hear Fulham have popped in a sneaky 1 million pound bid for Arshavin.

Raphael Honigstein seems to think we are negotiating with Real over Sahin. They want us to cover his whole wage and have no option to buy him. We want to pay some of his wages and have the option to buy. So we'll see what happens.

I agree I do go on and on about the poor defensive record... sorry 'bout that. Gotta admit it is weird that there's been sweet fa about defense this off season... and without wanting to sound like bozza defences do win titles.
I am thrilled Almunia is no longer around but Szeszny is not world class and the euros just adds to his comedy real. He's a great shot stopper but I don't see him as a gk to deliver us a CL title. Hell he couldn't deliver the Carling Cup. That's my point.
There is a lot about the Gunners to be excited about but if we ain't winning trophys I'm not gonna be satisfied...

Reports in the Malaga press that a deal for Cazorla could be announced as early as today.

Also if you want to point out one mistake that wasn't entirely his fault, I can point out 1 save which earned us 20 million+ last year, which was in the Champions League qualifier against Udinese. Wojciech deserves to be spoken about in the same breath as Jack and Ox as the greatest talents at our club.

Taken today. Think he's definitely in the bag, judging by the credibility of those reporting that its done.
