Quote:'Juve have signed RVP contract'
In a shock interview, FIFA agent Fabio Parisi claims “Juventus have had a signed contract with Robin Van Persie for some time locked in a desk.”
The Arsenal star has stated he won’t renew his deal with the Gunners, which expires next summer, so he has been at the centre of a bidding war between Juve, Manchester United and Manchester City.
“I think Juventus have had a signed contract with Van Persie for some time locked away in a notary’s desk,” FIFA agent Parisi told Sportitalia television.
“It is just my opinion, but I think there’s an eight out of 10 chance the Dutchman will join the Bianconeri.
“Juventus want to win and he is considered the ideal addition to achieve that. I don’t think Edin Dzeko is the right player for the Bianconeri.”
There have been reports that Juve are cooling their interest in RVP, as if he joins Manchester City then that will free up Dzeko for a Turin switch. http://football-italia.net/22526/juve-have-signed-rvp-contract

Apparently Malaga and Arsenal have agreed to a 17.3m pound fee for Santi Cazorla and he has a medical this afternoon.

Is there any strength to the Barca in for Song rumours??? Surely we would not sell in a pink fit! You would think M'Vila would be following proceedings closely.

Yeah I don't think there's anything in that, especially after us seemingly going off m'Vila. They just had to find a new Arsenal player to link to Barca

The Sport article they mentioned in the blog is a joke  Wouldn't be worrying about it to much. I mean there's no quotes in the article at all, like not even any made up ones. All they do is basically talk about his career, how he's good friends with Cesc and then go on to list all the reasons why he'd be a good signing for Barca

Malaga announcement expected later tonight our time. No confirmation on what will be in this announcement but it's expected something on Cazorla will be.
he apparently trained with Malaga yesterday and stayed back fora while with fans taking pictures and signing stuff, apparently seemed like a goodbye.

If true if I were in the arsenal marketing team I'd be claiming he turned down real madrid for arsenal - even though this is not actually the case... but we do need some more choosing arsenal over xxxx stories just to let RvP know we are still a destibnation club for many players. Yeah someone who is actually reliable, and was the first to break the Cazorla news weeks ago, says he's had it confirmed he's on hos way to England and will have a medical later today.

So unbeleivably stoked about this. If we get Sahin too it would really send out the message that we're being ambitious again. RVP Podolski - Cazorla - Theo Arteta - Song
Giroud Gervinho - Rosicky/Diaby - Ox Wilshere - Sahin
Not that RVP is staying, but if he did.. those are terrifying first AND second lineups. Easily back up there with the three big spenders. It's a shame the defence wouldn't reflect that sort of quality.

Honestly I will piss myself if RvP doesn't end up leaving this summer. Him and his management completely misjudged this whole situation  With each day that passes it looks more and more likely that he won't be leaving.

If RVP doesn't leave and Cazorla comes in what will Arsenal's net transfers be this summer. Would have to be a record

One of the most reliable on twitter.

But yes the attacking elements of our game (which has never really been in question I might add) does look very strong after these two new acquisitions. Any news on more preseason matches - usually we have Boreham Wood as well as the Emirates Cup of course. I know Nigeria didn't go ahead but they've been pretty poor in organising more matches.

Just the one friendly left against Koln, in Germany at 1am Monday the 13th. There may be some more behind closed doors friendlies, but the one against Koln is the only one left so far. We will still have played 4 full matches + two 45 minute friendlies on the same day. It just feels a bit like it's missing one more game, which would have been the Nigeria game. Also I heard the Emirates Cup was cancelled because of the Olympics. Is that really a big enough reason to cancel it, other than the fact that the Olympics will steal the crowds.

Ours is the same, not as packed as previous years. Still have two left though. Having two touraments in the off season has affected heaps of clubs.

Edited by busbybabe: 3/8/2012 03:34:25 PM And with the Olympics being in London it means more teams are affected than normal.
