Love this. So the last time we played Coventry at home, the mascot on the day was a 7 year old Nico Yennaris

Shirt in the bottom left of Jenkinson's bed was my first. Love that kit.

Walcott's finishes were sublime this morning, really did not hurt his claim to start upfront. Nice to see Giroud hit his first, and apparently Arshavin ran the match.

Just watched the highlights. So good to see Giroud get his first, and what a lovely finish it was. Also good to see him set up Shava for a very well taken gfoal. Ox's goal was well hit, but keeper probably should've done better. So glad to see Miquel get his first goal for the club and good to see how much he enjoyed it.
Really enjoyed Theo's goals though, both were a great advertisement for him possibly playing upfront. First a great ball from Yennaris and Theo uses his pace to make space for the shot and an excellent finish. His 2nd goal, just gonna put this out there but it was very Thierry-esque. Pick up the ball deep in the attacking half, put the afterburners on and open up the body and finish into the far corner. Good to see a #14 doing it at the Emirates.

This season continues to feel good, two things: - Competition for places - Mix of youth and experience this year, quality experience, quality youth

Financial results are out. I'm going to try hard not be cynical after a good start to the season. In short, it looks like the bean-counters really are running things and Ivan wants to forge a path to 'success', without defining what success is of course. Hill-Wood also claimed that Wenger is in charge of spending, my arse he is. Either way, let's not dwell on the numbers too much while things are on the up.

Loving the perfect 90 degree angle in his wrist. Would love to see him try this in a game just to see Steve Bould's reaction

How's this for a stat. In the last 33 games between Arsenal and Chelsea, Chelsea have Won 7, Drawn 3 and Lost 1 with Drogba. And without Drogba they have Won 0, Drawn 9 and Lost 13

The great man really loved coming up against arsenal. Considering strurridge is injured Torres is our only striker. So tonight could be tough for us

I'm lucky enough to be going to the game today, pretty excited being my first London derby :d
With all the media etc talking about Jenks lately, today provides another opportunity for him to shine. Will be his biggest test IMO going up against Hazard/Mata (assuming Oscar plays through the middle), but I'm confident he'll be fine.

Unlucky for Per, has not put a foot wrong this season. Solid line up though, hopefully Rambo can show that burst that he had last week again.
But Gervinho ffs what a finish :D

I just cant understand how Gervinho and Ramsey start on the wing roles ahead of Walcott and Chamberlain. Ramsey should only be playing in one of the three centre midfield positions and as for Gervinho that is his position but i just dont think he is a starter considering Walcott,Cahmberlain, and Arsharvin all play in the same position with Podolski also able to play that role while Giroud is the striker.

Gervinho can play in all three postions up front . Theo needs to prove himself more . he constant sooking has pissed me off .also arsenal looks like they are playing a false 9 somewhat with gervais

Yeh Gervinho can play all three positions up front it was Ramsey who im saying cant play that wide rold and shouldnt but even in that front three i think Chamberlain is a better player with Gervinho coming off the bench.

Fucking pathetic 2nd half performance. Only players who can come out of that with any kind of credit are our full backs.

Yeah so disappointed that we had no drive that game, no incision. Gibbs and Ox were our best by far. Not going to slate Giroud for that miss, it was the most difficult opportunity he has had so far.
Fuck Gervinho seriously. Yeah yeah he scored a goal idgaf, he really adds nothing to our play. No vision, and runs in circles. Giroud needs to start ahead of him.

JohnVanHalen wrote:Giroud what is wrong with him :/ lol Not really sure what you expected him to do. He gets past the keeper and only has the top corner to aim for, was always going to be very very difficult to score Edited by sydneycroatia58: 29/9/2012 11:42:58 PM

Most frustrating thing tonight was just how utterly avoidable it was. I mean the 2 set pieces they scored from are the only 2 we failed to deal with. Not as if we were having problems all night.
One thing's for sure, I think from now on Mertesacker has to be starting.

Really not good enough, Koscielny needs his head sorted. Giroud scuffed the best chance of the game.
