Squillaci will hopefully be on his way as well, most likely back to France. Can't see Santos going anywhere now, maybe in the summer but not this month. Arshavin is the only one left to offload of the deadwood. Hopefully get that done in the next few days and then we'll see if Arsene means business.

We tried to get rid of shava . Hell before the season started we offered him for free to all Russian clubs but they didn't bite . Reading wanted him but he declined the move . He is sure hell bent in staying in London and getting his kids British citizenships

No surprise it's all a bit quiet again now, always quietens down around the middle of January just before the clusterfuck of the last few days of the month.

There's a bit quiet, then there's absolute silence. This is the latter unfortunately. Honestly, is our transfer strategy so poor that we only buy players on the last day of January if at all? I know we snapped some key players up early in summer but if this season has proved anything, it's not enough.

BSM survey is out but as it only surveyed about 2,300 it can be disregarded as a bit irrelevant. It's still the largest independent survey of gooners ever and does give some indication of general consensus on the state of the club.

I'm with Ken on this one. This season has clearly shown we need more talent. Right now it looks like we are doing nothing as usual.

I wouldnt worry about not being linked to anyone, as when we are heavily linked to players (M'Vila, Hazard, Mata etc) other teams will always pick them up. IIRC the Cazorla rumours only surfaced a couple of days before he signed, and even then people were dubious. Giroud was the same. Podolski was different and was very drawn out.

I hope you're right. Doubtful, but I hope so.

Not worried about City at all, don't know why. Probably has something to do with their unbelievably bad record at the Emirates and the fact that Mancini always seems to come to us just wanting to get the draw.
