Speaking of PSG, apparently they want Sagna.

PSG would make more sense, Wenger has praised PSG and said he'd one day like to go home IIRC. RM though, where did that come from?

Offered him an insane amount of money in 2006 or around there I think it was and the rumours have been around ever since. As for PSG, can't really see him managing anywhere after Arsenal, maybe as a director of football, but can't see him going into management again. Wouldn't be surprised if he retires all together after he decides it's time to leave Arsenal.

There were rumours last week that several key players for Real Madrid had threatened to hand in transfer requests if Jose Mourinho wasn't dismissed from his position.

You would have to think that with Arsene's management style and philosophy that he wouldn't manage another club after Arsenal. At his age and the commitment required for the role, surely nothing could tempt him to try and do it all again.

Arsene's management style doesn't fit the Madrid philosophy anyway.

Apparently Arsenal's valuation is only about 12m short of Fiorentina's valuation of Jovetic.

I don't think Fiorentina will waver on that asking price. They could easily get 32m from another club.

Jovetic would be great, he is very very similar in his play style to RVP. Could also do a job on the wings. Talented player, would be nice if we got him.

Would definitely prefer Villa though
A) He has spoken of his admiration for Arsenal in the past B) Wants to leave C) Can do a job now, would fit in immediately D) Barcelona still owe us a large portion of money.

The David Villa rumours are really picking up. May have been a a 14 million pound bid made.
Just seems a bit odd for us to spend so much money on a 31 year old just returning from a long injury lay off*. Would be nice to have two quality strikers for once though.

David Villa doesn't have injury problems. Sick of people using this as some reason we shouldn't buy him. The guy has had 1 bad injury his whole career, that's it.

Fixed for ya ;) I don't think we shouldn't buy him. I'd love it if we did. Just find it odd given our transfer history.

What they were doing, while they were fine in the business department, they were getting left behind where it counts, the pitch. They changed their ways in the Walcott saga and now it looks like they could actually buy a world class player.

They paid him slightly more than they wanted to. And dragged it on for more than 6 months desperately just to try and save a difference of 10 or 20 thousand per year on wages but eventually caved when Walcott wouldn't budge. Typical Arsenal dealings really. He still only earns 110k per year... that's probably less than half what most of your top stars are earning.
