Another player I particularly noticed was Theo matching Stoke's physicality. I was really impressed by his effort.

Santi needs to force the keeper into more saves. How many times does he get into excellent shooting possies on the edge of the box just to blaze over or have the shot blocked??? (not his primary role I know, just something I notice)

I'll just leave this here incase anyone carelessly missed the Stoke game and is curious about Nacho Monreal (ahem SydCro). 5 mins of all of his touches during the game.

The facepalm from the Bradford defender gets more amusing every time.

To be fair, Gervimho seems to be a really class player when he plays for anyone but us. Killed it for Lille and now for the Ivory Coast.
These days im not in the business of writting players off so fast. Most people had written off Walcott as well till he suddenly came good. I wouldn't be too surprised if Gervinho eventually becomes one of the premier leagues finest like Theo. The raw ingredients of a great player are clearly already there.

Is this statistic supposed to suggest that Theo Walcott is the best player in the league? Best in our side and greatly improved yes but fuck can you imagine what it'd be like alongside RVP? Giroud taking the pressure off Robin every now and then, Poldi lifting it off a bit too. Honestly, if we kept Song and RVP we could be a title challenging side. So disappointing. Having said that, we would've had to defend a bit deeper like we did earlier in the season but I think we'd have had the magic to compensate. And people wonder why I'm frustrated with this club.

Hopefully wenger doesnt do a shava to him .

Gervinho would be good if he just kept the ball moving. I don't think his mind is fast enough for the premier league.

I think the problem with Gervinho is that he is brilliant at beating a man ( or even two) but his final ball is severely lacking. This does seem down to confidence though, as he is a completely different player when he plays for Ivory Coast.

gervinho better sit down with titi then. he is a player you know that can get a goal out of nowhere . he needs someone to motivate him , someone to help him to improve his confidence in the prem .

I disagree, I think he slows the game down almost to a halt just so he can attempt to beat a man and 9 times out of 10, when you slow it down that much it makes it umpteen times easier to defend against. I know that from experience (as a defender) but you can see it when he plays too.

If you ever needed proof of how good we've been in the 2nd half this season, look no further  Have to say it was funny to see so many England fans blowing their load over Jack's performance for England, while all us Arsenal fans are nodding and saying "we know" Some talk already about our summer business, David Villa being spoken about again and expect much more of that in the coming months. Etienne Capoue also being talked about and would be an excellent addition considering he would cover both DM and CB.

Quote: Afobe to join Millwall on loan Benik Afobe has agreed to join Championship side Millwall on loan for the remainder of the 2012/13 season. The 19-year-old striker, who was part of Arsenal’s first team squad for the 2012 pre-season tour of Asia, spent the first six-months of this campaign on loan with Bolton Wanderers, where he made 23 appearances, scoring three times. An England Under-21 international, Afobe started for Stuart Pearce’s Three Lions in Tuesday’s 4-0 victory over Sweden and officially joins Kenny Jackett’s side on Friday, in order to gain further competitive first team experience. Everyone at Arsenal wishes Benik well for his time at The Den. http://www.arsenal.com/news/news-archive/afobe-to-join-millwall-on-loan Quote:Galindo moves back to Bolivia on loanBolivia international Samuel Galindo will spend the rest of the 2012/13 season on loan with Liga de Fútbol Profesional Boliviano side Club Deportivo Jorge Wilstermann. After making five appearances with Spanish Segunda Division side Club Deportivo Lugo during a loan spell that ended in January, the 20 year-old midfielder is returning to club football in Bolivia for the first time since being signed by Arsenal from Real America in 2010. The move follows previous year-long loan spells in Spain for the midfielder with Salamanca and Gimnastic De Tarragona. Galindo, whose technique and vision has seen him gain two international appearances, returns to his native country to gain further experience at club level. Everyone at Arsenal wishes Samuel well for his time with Club Deportivo Jorge Wilstermann. http://www.arsenal.com/news/news-archive/galindo-moves-back-to-bolivia-on-loan

We've had Galindo for what, 3 years now? and he just doesn't seem to stake a place at any loan club he goes too. Players like him and Eastmond and Sanchez Watt just aren't going to cut it

I think a lot of people in England know how good Jack Wilshere is, Steven Gerrard commented on his potential on the eve of the match. A professional would look at that and say: our first half performances really are not up to scratch. Looking positively, perhaps our squad is one of the fittest in the league. Summer business? It could be too late.

Some talk around about who will be replacing Liam Brady when he leaves. Both Vieira and Bergkamp mentioned.

Bergkamp my choice far and away, he's had first hand experience of one of the finest youth systems in the land.

I'd bring both in if we could, but the choice between the two is easy, Bergkamp every day of the week.

Although there are reports that the Brady replacement will come from within the club and that Bergkamp will be sounded out for a role with the first team.
Don't really care what the role is, but we have to get Bergkamp at the club in some role.
Interesting quote from Arsene about Brady's replacement "Patrick Vieira can be a candidate if he chooses - all the former players can."

It wasn't as comfortable as it should've been but we got there in the end and that's all that matters.
Every single player deserves huge credit for that defensive performance in the 2nd half but special mention has to go to Szczesny, Rambo, who I thought was great when put out of position at RB, but Bacary Sagna take a fucking bow. Absolutely incredible performance, and deserves all the credit he gets for it, to put in a performance like that at CB after only being put there just before KO is something.

Thought Rambo again was very good, especially at RB. Should have been a more comfortable scoreline if Theo had his shooting boots on tonight.
