Not an easy run in by all accounts, although I question our quality to get as close to maximum points as possible. You're kidding aren't you? You think they're going to drop seven points out of that while we get maximum points? Not on their form this season mate. Now I assume all you gooners are drowning your sorrows. I'll leave you with this:

I fully expect Spurs to drop 7 points, although I don't think we have the quality to make up the ground on them. I'll continue to remain optimistic though, as anything can happen in football.

At least today we won't have fans going on and on about how much better Jack deserves.

Carzola needs to play through the middle Rosicky needs to start Ramsay was average at best Why play slow Per against a side like us with so much pace? Once we got through there was no catching us. Thought he was too slow. Jenkinson > Sagna, his crossing was good in the second half.

Per was most definitely not the problem, Vermaelen is. And the problem is, because he's captain he's seeimingly undroppable.

Can only have one or the other, can't have both playing through the middle.

Imo we have to find some way to fit Rosicky into the side, imo if he is fit he has to play. Only problem is who do you leave out. Only way to do it would be to leave Santi on the left.

Only played him just onside, but wasn't just him, Vermaelen has to take some of the blame as well for charging out to the pass instead of tracking Bale like he should've. The 2nd goal though, no blame at all can be attributed to him, he was pushed up like he should've been, it was Vermaelen and Monreal who were the problem for that goal. Vermaelen for being 5 yards behind everyone else and Monreal for not tracking the run of Lennon

Santi was anonymous on the left. What was Ramsay's role last night? Aside from winning the "free kick" that lead to the goal what was his job?

As a club that wants to win things, you simply can't do it with the defenders you have. In saying that, who do you bring in?

Honestly don't think our defenders are the problem, its just the way we defend. Playing a high line with Mertesacker against Bale and Lennon was suicide.

So do they sack Wenger now or let him see the season out?

Rosicky a decent player but not particularly defensive minded. We've got a lot of players like him. Ramsey has been quietly showing his class lately, I thought he had another good game. He works hard and doesn't do much wrong, all you can ask for really. Per Mertesacker is an excellent defender, probably our best at the moment. The problem as I've said dozens of times is how stupidly high we push up. We can't maintain such a high line and to do it without a proper defensive midfielder is frankly suicidal. Agree with Jenkinson, he's a great player. Wenger will stay because Kroenke couldn't care less.

Ramsey I didn't notice the whole game other than winning that FK that lead to the goal. Mertesacker is too slow for the way Arsenal play. Decent defender, maybe not a good fit for your current system.

The sooner Koscielny is partnering Per in the middle the better we will be.
It's just really frustrating at the moment, our full backs are all really good, it's just in the middle we have problems.

I don't think the CBs should cope all the blame. Diagonal runs like that can always cause problems if there is no pressure in midfield on the guy making the pass and he can wait and pick his moment.

Essentially the buck stops with the fact that Arsenal haven't had a good holding mid since Vieira left.

Let me guess, the player I do rate (Rosicky) had near the least? Just calling things as I see them. I don't believe touches mean much at all.

Good football will prevail in the end. Forget the physical monsters. Wait for shale gas/oil revolution kicks in and deprives money from Russian.

Statistics don't mean much at all. I do think that having Santi down the left is a bit of a waste at times but he does seem to drift so he's not exactly locked in as a left winger.
