With Chelsea's Europa distraction looking like continuing and Bale going down it could be argued that Arsenals tilt for the top 4 got a big boost without walking onto a pitch

For all you twitter fans out there, I had been following an account called @MindTheGapCOYS and I had thought it was a gooner doing a mildly entertaining parody. It turns out the account has now been protected and it may have been an actual deranged spurs fan. Anybody know?

Unchanged starting XI for the West Brom match. No real surprise there.

Important three points but it's so tight at the moment, I wouldn't make any bets.

Just like Sunderland away, doesn't matter how we get them, getting 3pts is all that matters.
Was pretty happy with the way we defended after going down to 10 men, it was scrappy at times but I can only really remember them having 2 really clear cut chances, everything else we dealt with fairly well. What was more disappointing was our complete inability to hold onto the ball once Per went off.

In years past we may have tried to pass our way out of dangerous situations and suffered the consequences. I think it had been a conscious change in tactics.

Yeah, seen a definite change in how we close out games this season. We are now much more willing to hoof it out and letting the opposition throw cross after cross in because we are confident of dealing with it. As opposed to trying to play it out under pressure and giving it away. We are now much more compact when closing out games.

Seen an article on soccernet quoting Wenger urging Rosicky to stay. Question is where's his place in the team with a fully fit squad?
I rate him very highly and at least it was him scoring goals last night (given how shit we're going to play tonight I can see us dropping away).
After the derby I praised him and he's played well again. WIth Wilshire to return will Rosicky make way and go back to a bit part player?

Rosicky will always have a place in the squad, no matter whether it's a playing role or a non-playing one. Arsene has said he hopes Rosicky finishes his career with us, and I for one would be 100% behind that.
Our destiny is in our own hands now thanks to the Sp*rs and Everton draw last night. Just 2 points behind them with a game in hand. Win our games and we finish in the top 4 and above Sp*rs, and hopefully above Chelsea as well.
EDIT: Actually, just looking at the table, if City lose the derby this week we'll be only 6 points behind them with 7 games to play, so 2nd place not totally out of the question

So that idea of Rambo scoring and causing the deaths of someone famous has been put to bed. Misses an easy chance, next day Margaret Thatcher dies

Also, it's scary to note how much we could save if we finally get rid of some deadwood+ those leaving on a free.
Arshavin- 75k Squillaci- 50k Bendtner- 50k Park chu Young- 50k Djourou- 30k Chamakh- 50k Denilson 30k
(Wages from sources in the media) Add to those wages the 15-20 mill we could get for these players, there really is no excuse to not invest into the squad this summer.
*Making the assumption that we will be able to sell these guys.

*Making the assumption that we will be able to sell these guys. Won't be able to sell the while they're on those wages mate. To be honest, there's been no excuse not to invest for a few years. I think defensively we've gotten stronger, we're willing to drop and regroup when the situation demands it. My biggest gripe with the team. Also interesting to note how the midfield won the ball on a few occasions, a few times we had three or four players crowding out the one West Brom player and making it impossible for him to pass. I don't particularly remember us hunting in packs like that for some time and it takes a lot of skill and fitness.
