Have been reports for a while about Fabianski and Mannone not being happy with the amount of game time they get, so wouldn't surprise me to see both leave, Cesar come in and Damian Martinez promoted to the first team.

And there us a need for an experienced keeper alongside Szczesny.

Yeah he seems pretty adamant on staying in England and by all reports would prefer to stay in London

Yeah I definitely agree it's a good signing by arsenal. Cesar is definitely not at his peak, but he's still a great keeper and at worst, can teach Szczesny how to distribute like a non-idiot.

Arsenal have to pay a developmental fee because they've been at the club as youths. So after approaching the players with a contract Arsenal can nominate a fee that they'll pay. If that fee doesn't satisfy Auxerre then they take it to the FA who delegate the fee.

I thought the body already did that. Nothing that's going to hold up a transfer though.

Given that they're getting just €450,000 I'd say they have every right to feel aggrieved.

If we're skimping on a few quid with Auxerre what makes any of us think we'll sign real quality this summer?

Don't forget we also only got him in the first place for 4/5ths of FA (development fee) so it stands to reason that we would not aim to sell him back to the same club at a massive price but the high sell on fee covers our arse should Barca look to cash in on his actual value... good business!

i'm not sure on the details of the contracts/deals/etc - but if my player runs out of contract (and can technically leave on a free) i'd be happy with any amount of coin i'd get tbh

The idea of these payments is that they at least cover the club's costs for developing the player. And given that they'll be forced to pay part of that as a "consolidation" payment to his youth club, I can see why they're upset because there's no way that this kind of money will cover their developmental costs.

So apparently we released 15 players from the reserve pool. Going to be a few youngsters coming in by the looks of it.

My guess is one of either Gnabry or Eisfeld.

I kind of consider Miyaichi a first team player so I'll skip past him. Unfortunately I think Miquel isn't going to make it, however, Gnarby, Bellerin and Akpom are all extremely highly rated. They are all 18 this year and I think will make an appearance or two (Gnabry already has). Eisfeld I am not really sure about, I'm sure he'll get a league cup appearance

Not apparently ,we did also had two players leave to go to other clubs. Joel Campbell might be loaned out again to betis again. Great news that squillaci,dennilson and shava being let go :lol:
