Why do you say that? I would have thought it makes it more likely.

And yeah I checked out that interview

I'd prefer Arsenal win the EPL first.

An average team can have a lucky run and win the CL just as Chelsea did last year.
Winning the EPL sends a more powerful signal to the world about how good the team really is. Then we can chase the CL and it will be more dignified instead of being called lucky.

You'd have to think they'd give AW a break if he achieved a close second and a good run in the CL.

It would also matter more if Robson wasn't a washed up twat, whom no one listens to anymore.

Hardly.
They are still established as one of the best teams in the world and serious contenders in every competition. Still going to be one of the favourites to win the EPL next year.

Second place in two competitions and a managerial change doesn't really constitute an absolute rabble in my book.

One thing that surprised me is just how well Higuain has done in Spain. He's got 107 goals in 187 league games and since making his debut in January 2007, only Messi and Ronaldo have scored more league goals.

Yeah supposedly he played so little due to political influences - Higuain was bought by the previous president and the current one bought Benzema, so they have played Benzema more often. I don't watch RM, so I can't really have an opinion on who plays better etc.

I think Higuain would be Wenger's best option given that:

a) Rooney's wages are simply too high

and

b) Jovetic just isn't that good for the price tag set

You know its Robson and mariner were talking about ,don't get me started on piers
Also would love higuian and Rooney ,just to show intent that we mean business . Also b-52 is apparently out with 5-6 clubs wanting him again. But rumours are that Frankfurt want him

Why shouldn't the wolves be out in force if all we've managed to achieve in eight years are overpayed footballers (even by today's standards) and celebrations for fourth place?

Jovetic has been the star in a pretty mediocre Fiorentina team. I think you're not giving him enough credit.

If Rooney's wages are too high, Higuain's aren't going to be much better.

It really is very tiresome, hopefully AW can shut some mouths this transfer period and season. On the topic of transfers, I read about interest in Gundogan and Bender and I must say I'd prefer either of them over Fellaini.

Lars Bender would be a great pick-up, but he'll probably cost markedly more than Fellaini. Gundogan is going to be the best value for money there.

Bender apparently has a release clause of something like 15m.

Lars Bender

Averages 4.1 tackles per bundesliga game.... you can't see me right now but my jaw just dropped. Also he has concentration as a strength, which is great.

Don't get me wrong, he gets a lot of things wrong, but he gets a lot of things right too.

Our defending
Those shocking, shocking transfers
Tippy tappy doing sod all

Sounds childish to disregard what he says imo, but I guess a lot of people don't like hearing about the bad news.

I will take criticism of the club, of Arsene of whoever, from anyone but him. Talks to much shit to be taken seriously. No doubt he makes some valid points, they are just outweighed by his bitterness.

That'd be fine and all if it was all regurgitated criticisms that have been around for years, with no additional original criticism for himself. He's like our version of Roy Keane, was a good ex-player and now universally disliked and disregarded.
