But, that is the difference mate.
Ligue 1 v Premiership. He has yet to produce for us, and to be honest, he does look out of his depth.

He must have left it in his old locker at Lille.

If by ability you mean beat a man or two then run the ball out for a goal kick, then Gervinho has an abundance of ability.

It's taken players longer to adjust to the EPL before. He certainly has the ability somewhere in there.

I admire your optimism mate.
He has the composure of a drunk on the DT's.
Whilst Giroud has the first touch of a blind man.
Imagine what we could have got for our money, what £20m?
The thing is, Lord arsehole will carry on with him, just as he did with the self proclaimed world's best striker, Nick Bendy bollocks, and sicknote Abou.

Giroud has the first touch of a blind man?
His first touch is one of the qualities that people praise the most about him.

Yeah I think his first touch is fine, his link up play is one of his stronger points except his first time passing can be a little off. His biggest weakness is mobility and his finishing isn't anything special. I like him as a back up striker, maybe like our Chicharito.

Yeah his finishing has been pretty poor.
Wouldn't rule him out as just a backup option yet though. Like many have highlighted he has has a better first PL season than many strikers who went on to become world class.

Look, if we go into next season with Giroud as our #1 striker I won't be disappointed, as long as we buy a quality backup. That being said I would obviously prefer we buy a real world class striker like Higuain or Rooney.

If we have a 'quality backup' he will probably be better than Giroud! I won't be too sad, but it will be a bit hard to take considering all the transfer talk we've heard.

Lot of games to be played over the course of a season, if we do buy a second striker there will be enough rotation for both to get a fair few games under their belt. Just loving the fact that we might go through an offseason where we sign multiple players of genuine class and not just a heap of 'might do well' players. When do we piss Park off?

I guess by quality backup I more mean someone to share the load so if one of them gets injured we're not scrounging around for someone upfront

Would much rather only play Theo or Poldi upfront if we are desperate and not rely on them as our only backup.

Hmm, if we don't buy another forward apart from Sanogo (who I am interested to see play) in this window, I'll be very surprised. We definitely need can't rely on one for another season, Poldi was ok I suppose but I think Walcott has no business being the solo striker. He can't pass and is physically weak. Oh and has a terrible first touch.

You missed the worst signing of the lot - the one that confirmed that Arsene had lost his marbles and ability to see any reason in the transfer market...

That's right ladies and gentlemen - when everyone was criticising Arsenal's defence Arsene shrewdly pulled off the coup of the century.

He signed Mikael Silvestre

That was his lowest point and he has made better signings since then but that was the worst signing of his 16-17 years at the club!

Better days are coming...

I saw that late in the week, but Tancredi Palmeri seemed to think AVB was coming back into the picture this morning

That sounds about right.

I always face palmed at all of those Rooney rumors. Adjusting our wage structure is one thing, but paying a new signing 4 times anyone else's wage was never going to happen.

An attacking mid doesn't seem all that necessary at the moment unless Arsene has his eye on a particular bargain with high potential. Grenier sounds about right.

That's better  :p

Although most reports are that we would be paying him something like 175k a week with a hefty signing on fee.

Have to say, Higuain is the deal that makes a lot more sense on every level really and glad that it seems he's the priority.
