Should definitely be jealous of our transfer window so far.

Sebastián Pérez from Colombian club Atlético Nacional is currently trialing with us. Playing right now.

A pass Cesc would be proud of. If his pre-season form is anything to go by then Rambo is in for a huge season.

Have to say I wouldn't be unhappy with us signing Luis Gustavo.
Would mean we could play a 1-2 midfield with Jack and Rambo ahead of Gustavo if we wanted, but could also go more solid with Gustavo and Miki next to eachother

So I hear Eto'o just became available probably for piss cheap. But I wonder if his wages would be too big a stumbling block?
Either way, do want. Would be a great pacifier for the next season or two until a great longer term striker prospect becomes available.

Rambo has killed it since he has been moved back into CM, so much promise for him this season. The Lampard role suits him to a tee.

pv4 wrote:Roar_Brisbane wrote:pv4 wrote:Tottenham fans calling other teams uncompetitive  Are you an Arsenal fan? It's a long story. For arguments sake I'll say yes though So basically as a young whipper-snapper I played football and followed the Newcastle Breakers in the NSL. Then Dad decided to show me a few late-night or taped games of EPL, just to see the difference in quality of the leagues. Eventually I found myself solely watching Arsenal games, just to watch Vieira play. The dude was a monster - I idolised him. I wanted to be him exactly - reverse-MJ skin colouring style (not really, but srsly). I've never looked at it this way, but afro pointed out to me that it's a very "NBA" way of supporting a sport. Interestingly enough, I loved Roy Keane too. I loved their battles. My favourite number is 16, because Vieira was 4 and 4x4 is 16 and RK was 16. So I found myself buying heaps of Arsenal jerseys as I was legit obsessed with Vieira. Then when I researched into the whole transfer to Italy ordeal with PV, I kind of felt insulted by how Arsenal treated him. So I had a couple of years of "hating" Arsenal. Since then I've considered myself a neutral, but religiously keep up with the league in general as I love the media circus surrounding it. But I still have a huge soft spot for Arsenal, and developed a soft spot for a team that shall remain nameless. And I have a giant mancrush on German football, and love FC St Pauli to death So I still have a huge soft spot for Arsenal, have a secret crush on an unidentified team, and have forever hated Hotsperms & Liverpool. /life story Edited by pv4: 12/8/2013 08:48:45 AM

Some interesting tweets from Rafael Honigstein on Gustavo Quote:To expand on Gustavo/Arsenal: feeling in Munich is that he's off but earlier this evening, Rummenigge said LG hadn't decided yet Quote:But it's only a question of him agreeing personal terms - valuation not an issue. Quote:A few L. Gustavo thoughts. A real DM specialist, excellent cover for back 4. Can also play LB or CB. Great shot and good in the air. (1) Quote:Passing range slightly limited, doesn't add that much to attack for teams who have loads of possession. (2) Quote:Great signing and great value for any team looking for a tough DM (3) That last one is the most interesting imo, exactly what we have been saying we need. He's apparently on 60k p/w so wages wouldn't be a problem and Bayern value him at around 20m euros so well within reach and I'd like to think we wouldn't have any qualms paying that considering we were willing to pay 21m euros for Lars Bender apparently. I think Gustavo would be a good signing for you.
I also know the story broke in The S** so it's probably BS.

Gustavo would be solid, he'd create huge depth to your central midfield as well.

Looks like it's going close.
Just like the Higuain deal.
Just like the Suarez deal.
Just like the M'Vila deal.
Just like the Ginter deal.
Just like the Jovetic deal.
I'll stop now :P

In other news, another departure that will make a lot of people happy Probably in the minority but I do wish him good luck at Palace.

Perplexes me as to why anyone wouldn't wish him well. Don't understand all the intense hate for players who don't perform well for us. Fair enough he didn't do as well as he himself and the fans would have preferred, but it's not like he stabbed Arsenal in the back or anything. He seems like a genuine Arsenal fan too.

It's really quite strange isn't it? He did well for us in the early stages when RVP was injured, maybe he's a player who just has to start regularly to play well? We'll see how he does at Palace, I think he could do well for them.

I'll stop now :P  totally stole my move. In all seriousness, there is a lot of interest in him so even if he is going to move there's no saying it will be to arsenal. Time for Assene to put his money where his mouth is Edited by vaughn2111: 13/8/2013 12:18:24 PM
