I will guarantee right now that Arsenal will make signings before the end of the transfer window. All just depends on the quality of those signings.

TBH Vaughn all your take on this transfer window for Arsenal seems a bit counting-chickens-before-they-hatch-esque

See really its the arsenal guys doing this. This thread is full of speculation, fap and then acting like its a done deal. Perfect example is Higuain.
The reason I'm getting stuck in is because everyone is jumping the gun on transfer targets, while in reality the players they are targeting as well as players in key positions are passing them by. Then they get all high and mighty about how they're a massive club and so much better than spurs, when in reality the gap between us and them is decreasing and the gap between them and those above them is widening.

As a neutral, can you honestly say that the squads are that much different? You can't honestly say out key players are worse than theirs.

Thy spend all their time saying I'm delusional, oh the irony.

That one didn't need delusion to believe it was close to done.
There were reports from reputable sources like Sid Lowe that this transfer was in the final stages.
Even Wenger probably believed it was happening until Madrid pulled a sly one at the last minute.

I don't see anyone saying they're anywhere near sure about any other deals aside from that.

You have 1 key player who could be gone soon.
As for the restof your post, it is a forum so people will jump the gun/get excited etc.
Your problem is there is nobody to 'fap' with in the Spurs thread about Spurs issues.

Should just ban all discussion of transfers imo. Its incredibly naive of us to think that it's normal to discuss player's we have been linked with. No other team's fans on this forum talk about transfers, not Liverpool (Willian,Eriksen,Alderweild,Mkhriyatan,Costa,Llori,Siqueira), not United (Cesc,Fellaini,Strootman,Baines,Lewandowski,Ronaldo), so why should we be any different? Pull your head in lads.

Lloris, vertonghen and bale (who hasn't left yet). 3 key players who are better than their arsenal counterparts.

I clearly remember posting that nothing official had been communicated with Higuain, and got slammed by you guys when it turns out I was right. You have consistently jumped the gun and made arses of yourselves.

 This thread.
Vaughn, I don't mind Tottenham and would love to see them finish above Arsenal, but you have to wait until it actually happens until you can start bragging. Transfer windows are nothing compared to final table positions. Man Utd and Arsenal both haven't signed big names... but so what? That won't mean they'll have a crap season. I agree, you have a great squad these days, but you can't count your chickens until they've hatched.

Don't like speculation and 'fapping' over potential Arsenal players? Simple, don't look in the Arsenal thread. No one is forcing you to read any of it so get the fuck over it. If we want to jump the gun on every player we're linked to we'll do it, why should you care  You worry about your 'power shifts' and we'll worry about ourselves.

Tbf is fun to banter and laugh at you when you don't sign a target.

And again, it's this part that is annoying:
Then they get all high and mighty about how they're a massive club and so much better than spurs, when in reality the gap between us and them is decreasing and the gap between them and those above them is widening.

And jlm - that's what an example is. 1 practical instance of a point.

This goes both ways. You lot get all loud and cocky during transfer windows and when you lead us by 12 points, about how this gap is decreasing and this is your year etc, why cant we do the same?

You said it "consistently" happens, show us one other instance where it's happened? Higuain had agreed terms, until Real upped their price by 10mil last minute. To get berated for expecting him to sign is stupid.

And again, not really bragging, just trying to point out that there isn't as big a difference between the two clubs as what these guys would have us think.

Cheers for the support though ;)

When have I ever said anything but us being equal? You guys keep shitting all over us with the same unrealistic 1-liners. Not really both ways is it.

Some rumours popping up that we're apparently in for Liechtensteiner. Would not mind him here. I guess it would solve our CB problem, with Sagna being our 4th choice defender, and capable of playing RB. Dont think he'll be getting another deal if Jenks progresses well this season.

Is this where I am supposed to post all the Arsenal players I think are better than Spurs players in our 'key' positions? Some neverending argument that would be!
btw I would have Koscielny over Vertonghen if I was forced to pick too \:d/

Defensively Koscielny is better (not by much) but Vertonghen adds a lot going forward. Probably the more complete player.

It might be that Madrid gave Higuain permission to discuss terms while the clubs worked out a deal. But that kind of thing doesn't happen very often.

Either way if I'm right or not (I'm probably wrong on Tevez and Isco, probably just rumour), it's not my credibility Vaughn is questioning, it's a BBC journo's.

Waiting for Vaughn to claim that a BBC Journo who hasn't ever got anything wrong with Arsenal (and other clubs I assume), has got something wrong. Should be interesting.

Nah you know thats bullshit. Ornstein is to Arsenal what an Echo(?) Journo is to Liverpool. Are you really going to tell me that a BBC (not Daily anything, Mirror, Espn,TWG,Goal or whatever) journalist who has a proven track record is untrustworthy? Righto.

The Echo are wrong all the time. They reported Papadopoulos as a done deal.
You might not have seen him be wrong before but there's a first time for everything. Furthermore the date of the post is conveniently cut off the screencap.
