Yeah, just still didn't look right  You don't recall why the navy is on the sleeve by any chance (apart from that old joke about the netherlands flag for RVP)? I don't think it was for any particular reason  so people came up with their own. Yeah, the only thing I can find is Walcott saying he thought it made the kit feel more British

It's quite simple really. Bale to Madrid= No room for Di Maria with Jese,Isco,Ronaldo and ofcourse Bale. Wenger said absolutely no chance for Suarez the day we're reportedly in for Benzema, so Suarez is off to Real.
But this implies that we're logical with transfers.
If only this was FM

Edited by jlm8695: 22/8/2013 12:35:05 PM Isco isn't competition for a wide spot, neither is Jese I don't think. Essentially it's Ronaldo, Bale and Di Maria fighting for 2 spots. Definitely room for him.

And Suarez to Real meaning Benzema is going to Arsenal is just ridiculous.

No name dropping on the forums thanks. "How little you wanted to spend", you say that as if the transfer window is shut, and that you know 100% that we're not going to spend any money. I consider the fact that we made 2 bids, the fact the player wanted to join us as fair evidence to say we had a genuine attempt at signing him, and we made one. Liverpool got greedy (they had to cant blame them), but it could potentially cost them in the long run.

Quote:"How little you wanted to spend", you say that as if the transfer window is shut, and that you know 100% that we're not going to spend any money. I'm sensing a correlation here when you wouldn't meet the asking price of Higuain, Suarez and Gustavo and that's just for the players we're aware of. Not being willing to meet the asking price does indeed directly effect your chances of signing a player ;)

When I said how little you wanted to spend, I was talking specifically regarding Suarez.

All clubs have interest in many players, doesn't mean they're going to go for them. It's either going to be funny watching spuds/Liverpool fans eat their words by deadline day, or funny to watch Arsenal fans organise a suicide pact if we spend nothing.

Poteitially gazumped by spurs/never bid/waiting on news/never bid/signed new contract at Atleti/never bid Let's look at who Liverpool HAVE signed: Mignolet, Alberto, Aspas, Toure, Cissokho. And the players Arsenal have signed: Sanogo, ... ... ... ...well.

Hmm, got me there. But for all of these top quality players Liverpool have signed this window, only one of them would make our starting XI.

Tbf, most of those are squaddies for Pool anyway.

Aspas,Toure and Mignolet are not "squaddies". Ill give you Alberto and Aly, but the other 3 are all first 11 players.

You'd jump at the chance to have Cissokho or Aspas as well.

I wouldn't take Cissokho over Gibbs or Monreal and who exactly would Aspas play infront of  Certainly none of Giroud, Theo or Santi.

Plus, you just about had Papadopoulos until he didn't pass a medical, so Toure could have been a squad player too, which I'm sure was the intention initially.
