Someone mentioned it on twitter, but would love to see Jack go in early and just crunch one of their new signings and walk away saying "Welcome to the NLD cunt"

I never said it had to be a tackle , could just be a body check.

Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, who has been pretty spot on with his stories this summer, has reported that Palermo keeper Emiliano Viviano is set for a medical today for a loan deal with an option to buy.

We were linked with Viviano a while back were we not? Think he was at Genoa at the time. Would be a solid signing, wa shighly rated when we were linked (I think)
Edit: We were, he was at Bologna at the time. Currently plays for Palermo in Serie B.

Yeah we were after him a few years ago and were apparently close to getting him last summer but he wanted to stay in Italy and went on loan to Fiorentina.
6 caps for Italy shows he's no slouch, also a big unit at 6'5 which is always good

Posted this in the Transfer thread, but mind as well post it here. Arsenal's MIA, Park Ju-Young, has received interest from 3 Ligue 1 clubs. St. Ettienne, FC Lorient and Renne. His destination is most likely St. Ettienne, but the president of FC Lorient has confirmed they are talking with Park, but, at the moment, the situation is very "complicated." Quote:Loic FERY @LoicFery @LogFonct Nous sommes effectivement en discussion pour faire venir Park au @FCLorientOff , mais c'est tres complique.

The commentator at the end said it best, right now nothing else matters. Forget about fucking transfers for a few hours and just enjoy this.

Might get a Koscielny away kit. I hear you get a 25m pound striker in the pocket.
 Arsene's waited until the last day of the window to buy players just so we could make these jokes about spending money to Sp*rs fans. And who says he doesn't care :p

For the first time in many seasons, I felt reassured of this Arsenal side. It felt safe, it was full of flair, finnese, fire power and fortitude. Clearly, the sqaud is strong, and full of class, but a little thin. C'mon Wenger, we trust you, thicken it a little, add some numbers, some quality in depth.
That was a great derby, felt even better after the win.

You guys did what you do best and broke with pace which caught us out. Took a good finish from giroud and some woeful marking from Rose, who to be fair to him, kept Walcott pretty tame.

For all the highs Arsenal will be feeling right now you do not have enough quality to make it through the season ahead IMO. 2 or 3 midfield injuries and you could be in trouble and also no backup for Giroud. Today is an important day for you.

TBH the other day I read an interview with Wenger where he harped on about how Spurs could find themselves in trouble by bringing in too many new faces and it actually harming the squad. Disregarding that he was just making excuses for not signing anyone himself - today sounded like Wenger was kind of on the money. It'll be interesting for Tottenham. They definately need some more time to gel, and that could take anywhere up to 2 months to properly do. How many top teams do they play in that timeframe? Because what do you need - less than 8 losses to be in contention for a top 4 spot? Do you think Tottenham can manage that, particularly if they need more time to gel as a unit? Arsenal do need to make some signings, and I daresay they will over the next day. Did I just read Ozil is all but signed? TBH I can see Arsenal performing really really well in the top four games. It'll be the usual trick of slipping against Stoke, struggling in Wales, all that rubbish nonsense that will see Arsenal struggle, but I still predict finish above Tottenham - which is a trophy in itself

Ok so on deadline day, according to the latest rumours, it seems we could be getting any of
Ozil Di Maria Ba Viviano Abel Hernandez
The BBC and David Ornstein reporting that we're in 'advanced talks' over the signing of Ozil.

I saw it as Rose being caught standing next to Vertonghen instead of marking Wallcott. It was poor positioning from him which allowed Giroud to make the run (which he is very good at doing).
