So much shit is being bumped from this thread if this goes through.
Why? To help prove that Arsenal's failure to spend has forced them into splashing a shit ton of cash on the one position they didn't need a new signing? How the fuck can it be a failure to spend when we are about to spend 'a shit ton of cash' And yes I forgot that clubs are only allowed one transfer per day, there's no chance of us signing player's in other positions (even though we're incredibly light in mdifield, but dont let that detract from the Arsenal bashing) #-o #-o #-o When a world class player becomes available, you make room for them, plain and simple.

Your failure to spend earlier in the window. Didn't type that properly. It was like was mentioned earlier, you're going to be rushing into deals that normally you might not make, becuase time is short.
And I never said your midfield wasn't light, but you've got a hell of a lot more depth there than any other position on the park. And sure you might make more signings, but you seemed happy to use this one possible signing as a reason to call people out, when realistically, it's not.
So sure, sign a WC player whenever it pops up, but if you've spent all your money on this, and don't take the time to upgrade elsewhere, I'm looking forward to when Giroud gets injured and you've got no one to bring in .

Peoples arguments this whole window is that we have not spent a single cent, not that we havent brought in players. I am going to call them out when we finally spend a cent, whether it be $.01 or $45m. 40-45m is not all of our money- Still think we'll bring in a back up striker- whether it be Ba/Abel Hernandez whatever.

 The 40-45m we'd spend on Ozil is not even close to 'all our money'

Could be a boxing match for Ozil. Would love us to go for him, seems you guys are in a better position but news coming through that we are right in there.

You've got places suggesting you guys are in for him, places suggesting we offered more in wages than you did and then places suggesting you're not in for him at all  It is interesting if you guys are back in for him considering the reports you turned down the chance to sign him earlier in the window.

Reports that our medical team has been very busy. Apparently went straight to Colney from the game last night, which makes sense with reports that Viviano started his medical last night and has finished it off this morning.

We were very close a few years ago, so I'm sure the interest is very solid now that he is an established player.

Bild reporting that we're currently negotiating personal terms with Ozil. Deal apparently for 5-6 years.

John Cross now reporting that Ozil is essentially a done deal with a fee agreed and wages agreed with Ozil. He's in Germany at the moment where his medical will be done.
James Olley reporting that Ozil is having his medical in Germany right now.
Jeremly Wilson claiming that with the Ozil deal close to completion we have turned to Di Maria.

No idea how we would to fit all of these midfielders into the team but I'm a huge Ozil fan and will be stoked if true. I wonder if he would play in place of Rosicky or in a deeper position? Laughed so hard at the thift shop clip  sydneycroatia58 wrote::lol: Love this quote from Arsene on Flamini Quote:I said it was a no-brainer [to sign him], I am just sorry that he did not cost £25 million Gold from Wenger  As for the game, very good team performance. Still pissed off that we let Spurs sign Lloris instead of us. Would've been a more comfortable scoreline if not for him being so quick off his line. Although the best save of the night was Szczesny on that deflected shot.

Getting a head of myself a little bit, but a team with one of Santi or Ozil is good enough, just imagine both in the same fucking team

Snatching Mesut Ozil like this would not exactly be a subtle way to break the transfer record. How many times our current record would 50 million euros be? sydneycroatia58 wrote:Reports also around that we're close to agreeing a deal with Chelsea for Demba Ba on loan for a year. Sounds about right. Would be reasonably happy with this.

MvFCArsenal16.8 wrote:I'll be freaking over the moon if get Di Maria and özil . No love for Karim?? Madrid probably just said flat out that he's not for sale. They would be left pretty bare for strikers without him. Even if they got Suarez, they still need an alternate striker of Benzema's quality to compete with Barcelona over the long season.
