Gotta understand guys, we have to wait until we beat a big team. I mean clearly if we can beat Sp*rs and Liverpool they aren't big teams. I mean just look at how Chelsea beat us in the League Cup, clearly us losing a League Cup games mean there is no way we have any chance at all of winning the league.

Just watch next week if we beat United, all the excuses will flow about how it's not really United :lol:

Some people just got too immersed in the Wenger out bandwagon to the point that they can't enjoy seeing Arsenal do well under him anymore because it hurts their ego too much.

As for the game. Huge props to Arteta for an incredible game.
I know many people here are raving about Flamini alot, but I don't think I would even put him in the first choice 11 when everyone is fit.
Arteta can do his job plus offering more as seen against Liverpool whilst you can't exclude Ramsey or Ozil from the first 11 in the midfield three.

As stupid as this may sound, the best thing for Arsenal may be to be knocked out of the other competitions so they can concentrate solely on the league. No one will care if you get knocked out in the UCL group stage if you've won the league come season's end.

I said it when we lose, that with our squad, being out of the League Cup probably isn't the worst thing. Wile you're right about not caring about not making it out of the group stage if we win the league, I still want to go as far as possible in the Champions League.

I think whatever club it is, will always look to the positives when they get knocked out of a tournament and say they can concentrate elsewhere. But really, when a team wins in Europe, more often than not, they win their league also. Big clubs are able to compete on all fronts now.

Didn't Pool & Chels have horrible years league-wise when they won Champs?

I didn't say every season that happens, just that a lot of the time teams do the double. There are obvious exceptions.

But Arsenal haven't won a trophy in god knows how long. With all respect to them, they're not accumstumed and experienced to be playing under this pressure on 2/3 different fronts. The teams you're talking about are your Man Utds, Barcas, Bayerns who usually don't go without 2 years without winning something. They are used to playing in these scenarios whereas Arsenal aren't. Once Arsenal win their first trophy, then sure fight on all fronts, but smaller steps until then.

So we should hope to get knocked out of Europe because we may, in some kind of alternate universe still be top in March? It's such weird logic and getting knocked out of Europe I dare say would put even more pressure on the lads to win the league, it's not going to help.

Less games = less need for squad rotation = less bendtner

EDIT: and I'm not saying you should hope to get knocked out of the UCL. Just that if you do, it might not be the worst thing.

Unless of course you're beaten by us, in which case you clearly can't be a big team. I'm fairly sure that's how it works.
