Cesc will surely be a luxury signing but a few injuries in our midfield . It'll mean we finally have some depth

We've already got more than enough depth in attacking midfield positions surely?

I'd be annoyed if we spent a whole chunk of money on Cesc before we managed to fill the positions that desperately need filling, i.e. RB, DM and ST. We can think about a back up keeper, another centre half, and any luxury signings like Cesc after that.

Imo, unless we activate the clause for Viviano, a new GK is just as important as a RB, DM and ST.

Speaking of keepers, today we've been linked to David Ospina on a free.

Yeah actually, I reckon absolute priorities at the moment are a RB and GK, because if Szczesny goes down we've got nothing. That said we should be spending the majority of funds on a DM and ST. David Ospina would be ideal, as for another centre half, someone like Ashley Williams, Adil Rami or even that Eric Dier kid from Sporting Lisbon would be great.

I've seen three different places "confirm" (but nothing on the dot com) we've signed Remy. If he was going for that reported 8m or so, I'm pretty stoked with that.

Excuse the vague source, but a guy on Arsenal Australia facebook said his brother went to Bosnia's WC training and spoke to Begovic. He was told Stoke were offered 2.5m from Arsenal for Begovic, with Wenger telling him he would be second choice keeper. Neither club nor player were happy with the offer nor terms, so most likely won't happen.

The absolute worst part about this Cesc stuff is that we don't need him yet it's still going to kill me seeing him possibly play for another team in the prem.

I am more scared about the home kit, the 'leaks' around look really cheap.

With this whole Cesc thing I don't get people who say we shouldn't buy him back because we don't need him. I don't fucking care if we don't 'need' him. As far as i'm concerned, regardless of how he left, he's an Arsenal great and I would want him back no matter what our 'needs' may be. Look at it this way, RvP is almost exactly what we need upfront but I would not take him back ever.

After the season Ramsey has had this becomes a whole other level of funny

Arsenal great or not, we already have 2 top of the line playmakers in Ozil and Cazorla+ Jack who has the potential to be one of the best and Rosicky who is phenomenal cover. We don't have the room in the squad for him without shunting our best player to a position he's never played.

Nobody knows what the clause is but the most likely (and reprted one) is that we're informed and have the option to meet any bid. The optimist in me is saying that the clause is why we haven't bid yet, it's more beneficial for us to wait to see if other teams bid.

If he's sold to anyone other than us we get 50% of any profit Barca make, so obviously if he's sold for less than they bought him we get nothing.
