I can see us signing a striker like Remy on loan for the season just to help while Giroud is out injured, Sanchez is more settled and Theo is back. A loan really does make the most sense.

Neither of those are really surprising. Not buying a striker means Poldi won't be going anywhere and as for the CB/CDM. A CDM who can fill in as 4th choice CB actually makes a stupid amount of sense.

Imo ideal Champions League group would be Basel, Sporting Lisbon and either Maribor or Anderlecht.
