Who else have they got? Everyone else is out on loan.

Fucks sake.

Why not mate? You guys have a huge stadium, most expensive tickets in the league and have increasingly more money coming your way from the tv rights deals and growing world wide fan base... Why wouldn't you want them to spend what they earn even if they have to pay over the odds for some players?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not for spending unsustainably, but nor am I for clubs with huge income streams posting profits like corporations...

We never have been and never will be a club like a Chelsea, PSG or City who will throw 50-60m at a player just because we can afford to. On top of that we are also not a club who will give a player 300k a week in wages. It's just the way we do things.

Sadly you are right because with Stan Kronke having majority control over the club nothing will change. If the cunt would just fuck off and sell to Usmanov we would be able to compete but that won't happen while club keeps making profits year after year.

 Usmanov coming in wouldn't change things. We wouldn't suddenly become a Chelsea or City. This has nothing to do with Kroenke. It's the Arsenal way to do things in what we percieve as the right way, no owner will change that I don't think. Especially since Usmanov would not get rid of Arsene anyway.

Wow you really think that haha. Mate it would change things instantly. If Wenger chose not to spend even when the owner is saying he can then Wenger would get sacked for someone who would.
It's as simple as that.

I'd say Akpom will be recalled from loan. Will also mean some more gametime for Joel Campbell probably.

Please do your research on anything owned by Kronke and you'll find out there is two very common factors. I'll let you work out those 2 factors.

Jesus christ, we weren't spending long before Kroenke bought 1 share in the club. You keep talking like he's the one stopping Arsene from spending when it's just not true.

But of course if Usmanov bought out all Kroenke's shares and nothing changed it'd still all be Kroenke's fault wouldn't it?

Before we played at Highbury which was half the size of Emirates and we still competed with the clubs around us. Now we simply don't.
Anyways I'll leave you with the research of Kronke. One you'll either be surprised or two you'll see the facts and still not understand what the problem with Kronke is.
He's a piece of shit, it's as simple as that and unlike you I don't think Wenger sold our star players in the past to rivals without being pushed to do so.
Wenger definetly has it in him in not wanting to buy too big but I highly doubt as a football person he is that fucking stupid to not see the bad side of selling your best player to a rival club when you could have sold him to a club in another league albeit for a slightly less transfer fee. That's something a dickhead business man does with no football brains.
Wenger won't speak out against his boss just like Ange won't speak out against his bosses again.
Anyways have a goodnight and if you have time look up the gronk!
If your too busy or can't be fucked I'll try and find the details over the weekend when I get the chance.

It's nothing to do with not buying big, Arsene isn't afraid to spend money, he's afraid of paying more than what something is worth which comes from the back ground in economics. Which is probably also why he sold RvP to United and not Juve, well that and RvP preferred to go to United, which is something we couldn't really avoid without rejecting the bid, which would have been stupid.

As for other star players to rivals, the only one we might have regretted is Nasri, the rest we were probably better off without. Can't really say we regret selling Adebayor and Clichy.

As for Kroenke and his spending.

His NFL team currently has the 4th lowest amount available in salary cap space of any NFL team and he doesn't run the MLS, NBA or NHL teams anymore and handed them over to his son who now is president of those teams. Also had no problem buyign 60 acres of land in downtown LA for a possible move for his NFL team.

Not accounting for inflation we've spent more in the last 4.5 seasons than we had spent in the 10 PL seasons before Kroenke took over and more than every PL season combined but that is obviously affected more by inflation

Wenger defended his decision not to sign a striker by saying Welbeck would be back very soon and would provide cover for Giroud.

If he knew that Welbeck wasn't getting better when he was meant to be back after two weeks (back in April) and would likely require surgery, why didn't he sign anyone?

He has some explaining to do.

I'd like to see more of either Campbel and Akpom. Not sure who I prefer but if I had to guess it would probablybe Akpom from the limited amount of game time I've see of the two.

Fairly sure he said that about Welbeck providing cover for Giroud before they decided surgery was the best option. It certainly wasn't likely back in April that he needed surgery.

Akpom is more of a centre forward than Campbell, so would make sense for him to be given more a go up there. That's if he is recalled obviously.

Well that would do it....
I'm still not sure how highly or not I rate giroud tbh. I feel he could be a bit like Hleb and Flamini. Very good in the arsenal system, but not an excellent player in his own right....

Yeah true. That is a solid point. And he scores some cracking goals. I just can't quite shake the feeling he isn't quite world class... Maybe like a Dzeko or Huntelaar rather than a Higuain or a Benzema...

Benzema is a more expensive version of giri. Giri gets blamed for a lot of stuff he cant control. Yes he had an off dayfor france but it happens.

I don't think you'll find an Arsenal fan who disagrees that Giroud isn't world class.

He is solid. But people saying benz is world class are deluded. If we did sign a fucking striker the only player in consider a proper upgrade is kün augero

Benzema would be a proper upgrade on Giroud imo, not upper echelon like someone like an Aguero obviously, but definitely an upgrade.

The thing is benz will be a more expensive verison of giri. Sadly world class strikers are few and far between and their clubs wont sell them as they arent a dime a dozen. Would kill for say having the lord back
