sydneycroatia58 wrote:I'm waiting until after we play Leicester to pass any judgement for the title. One things for sure when Santi comes back he goes into the middle and Rambo out to the right With 14 games left and Carzola expected back in March it's not even worth talking about him this season. As for Ramsey I was actually very happy with him playing in the centre and still only rate him in this position. The problem for me is that in the last 4 games he has been so out of form that it's blindingly obvious to anyone but Wenger. Elneny should immediately replace him in the middle otherwise I don't see the point in that buy if he's only used in as a last resort. Also Coquelin should be a guaranteed starter against Bournmouth which will be a big bonus. Mathematically 5 points behind top spot at this point of the season is nothing so anything is possible, however the way they are currently playing and with Wenger not making any positive changes to the starting line up I just don't see us getting there. With 14 games to go I see us dropping a lot more points. This is the problem with going into the season with one decent out and out striker in Giroud. We desperately needed a striker. It's amazing we've held on for this long to be honest with only Giroud up front all season because I don't count Walcott as a striker at all, actually I've never even rated him as a winger. Most over rated Arsenal player ever. What kills me the most is the fact I'm worried not only Spurs end up ahead of us on the table but actually end up winning the league.

The next two games will reveal everything with City playing Leicester and Sp*rs and us playing Leicester. Picture will be clear after next weekend. Think a fair bit will change now with Coquelin back. Also in a season like this 5pts with 14 games left is basically nothing

Ox and Flamsey again in midfield. That and Afobe is guaranteed to score against us. This should be fun. Also seems like we could have a new first choice CB pairing.
Elneny not in the squad today after his wife gave birth.

Can't help but feel Arsene thinks that's enough to get past Bournemouth and is giving Coq another full weeks rest before Leicester.

My fear though is if we win this game Wenger might not want to change a starting 11 which in this case would be wrong. Coquelin needs to start next week.

Ramsey setting up 2 goals, haters shhhhh Giroud set up the first with the header. Then again the pass to Giroud did come from Ramsey so he played a part.

He's also won numerous tackles and picked up multiple interceptions. It's unfair to judge his role considering how curbed it is due to Flamini's deficiencies.

Even more so after Flamini picked up a card so early. Keen to see him and Coquelin put a proper run of games together.

Compare his early games back in the middle (Sunderland) where he was doing normal Ramsey stuff from one end to the other, but our team was exposed because Flamini always presses high. Since that game he's been much more reserved. Once Coq's back we'll see him play more fluidly.

Next 4 games are Leicester, United, Swansea and Sp*rs with a game against Barca in there too. After that we then have a decent run of West Brom, Everton, Watford, West Ham, Palace, Sunderland and Norwich before City on the 2nd last day of the season. As good a time as any to put a run together.

I'd have Gabriel over him anyday of the week these days.

That would shit me especially when your bench player has killed it and then Walcott comes on for 20 seconds lol. Been there done that or when I have a defender and looking good for the clean sheet but he gets subbed on in 2 minutes before you get the full points for clean sheet lol.

Fuck your Leicester fairy tale, Welbeck's just changed the title race after not kicking a ball in 10 months. There's your fucking fairy tale.

I hope it doesn't, but it would be typical Arsenal if that in the long run taking those points off Leicester is what wins Spurs the title.

Arsenal needed that, but my god it's like you just won the the premier league.
Leicester are still on top, and have an extremely easy fixture list for the next 6 to 7 games.
Don't think Arsenal can find the consistency to win it all i'm afraid, Tottenham, City or Leicester will be the winners, and going by the fixture list i would put Leicester as favourites.
This was a good game for Leicester to lose, they now won't take such easy opponents for granted and this will give them a big kick in not letting the fairytale get to their heads.

Brah that's what happens when you write a team off. 24 hours ago their title hopes were over apparently. As if you wouldn't celebrate like that winning with the last kick of the game?

I haven't worked up such a sweat from watching a football game in a long, long time.
That game pulled every single heart string.
Killed me but man was I happy at the end!
