It ain't over till the fat lady sings as they say. It deserved a draw but good on youse. Even with the loss Leicester accounted for themselves veryvery well - took till the dying second snatching the win playing against 10 for some 30mins. Got admire their defense whilst you kept throwing the kitchen sink at them. Great game watching as a neutral but long way to go as we know some 10 games its all over the place, damn great to see tbh. OT game is another huge one coming up - united having to lift themselves from the black kats loss, be vewy vewy careful.

Leicester are still on top, and have an extremely easy fixture list for the next 6 to 7 games.
Don't think Arsenal can find the consistency to win it all i'm afraid, Tottenham, City or Leicester will be the winners, and going by the fixture list i would put Leicester as favourites.
Edited by socceroofan4life: 15/2/2016 06:10:12 AM
There is no such thing as an extremely easy fixture list at this point in the season, especially considering teams will now start looking at Leicester, see a point as a good result and just park the bus. As for Leicester's fixture list here is their final 4 games Swansea at home, United away, Everton at home and Chelsea away. Compare that with Arsenal who have Sunderland away, Norwich home, City away and Villa at home. If we're still no more than 3pts behind at that stage I'd back us to overtake Leicester on that run of fixtures. Leicesters next 6 or so games might be easy on paper, but their run home is fucked.

Brah that's what happens when you write a team off. 24 hours ago their title hopes were over apparently. As if you wouldn't celebrate like that winning with the last kick of the game? Not even 24 hours before Ozil took the FK our title hopes were over. Also expecting Arsenal fans not to celebrate a goal like that is fucking stupid considering our record when we play the side who is in first place and considering we never score important late winners, we're always conceding them

I couldn't say their run home is fucked, their for and against is near on yours to date. It may look harder but they have punched above their weight damn well you can't deny that. Your as likely to lose to anyone as well, most of the bottom half have lifted their stds, on your last 4 games 2-3 of them fighting relegation, they are always possible melting pot games as we know. Sure by then prior results may have set the path but imo any of the current 4 are very much in it for now. Premature looking that far ahead.

On paper their run home is certainly fucked compared to the other 3 around them. Like I said though, one problem for Leicester will be that teams at the bottom will see a point against them as a good result. They haven't had to really deal with that so far this season, they been able to sit back and play on the counter.
The one big advantage Leicester have is that they only have the Premier League to worry about now while the other teams are still in at least competitions

Oh for sure, Leicester focusing on just the league is a bonus no doubt. There are positives/negs for everything - yourselves, city and spurs being more cashed up for eg should have do have deeper/larger squads due to this, whereas they don't for starters. If most fit look at yours and Citys bench to theirs. Say something happens to Vardy/Mahrez/Okazaki or worse Schumeichel (yay Schwarzer in lol) their replacements are as like for like, heck look who gave away the free kick for Ozil. Mid to bottom imo Leicester should stick to the same tactic that has worked so well, you guys took the whole 2nd half to break the dam against 10, as long as form stays and no injury to main liners you'd expect counters would keep getting them points. Going to be great to watch regardless - everyone needs a bit of good luck as well eh.

That game pulled every single heart string.
Killed me but man was I happy at the end! Same here. With seconds to go I was fuming and feeling sorry for myself having stayed up and with only 3 hours sleep time left between fulltime and getting up for work I was thinking how the fuck will I get any sleep I'm depressed lol. And then Bang! and yeh out of excited still couldn't get much sleep. The whole game was intense.

Is anyone else worried in Sanchez's performances lately? He just seems like he's so low on confidence lately.

I reckon he needs to be switched up to the right side every now & then just to add some freshness to his play. 9/10 times he's cutting back into his right foot and getting shut down asap currently. Still a fantastic player, and works his absolute arse off, but Leicester defended really well against him and they've now proven if you can manage the 2nd defender on his right side, you'll shut him down.

Welé was given Man of the Match at least on the official Arsenal facebook page. Nice token gesture.
Who did yall think should have legit be given MotM? For me it was Giroud as the absolute clear winner.

Giri was immense. Defended a lot and his deft touch that let theo get the goal was smart . I still dont know why people hate the guy?

Forgetting his last kick of the game I actually thought Ozil was off his game more so than Sanchez. Was disposed more than expected at times I thought, they had him covered very well imo.

I'm thinking of staying in the city after the Sydney derby tomorrow night to watch Arsenal v Hull FA Cup. Not counting the sports bar at Star City Casino, does anyone know know any pub that will definetly be showing the Arsenal game which possibly has a football atmosphere inside?

I believe we can win tomorrow morning. We beat a better side in 2011, and we're now stronger in every defensive position in the team we put out tonight.
Foolish optimism maybe, but it's going to be a fun morning regardless.

Well that's game over. So deflating to not take one of our chances and then to fuck ourselves over like that. Classic Arsenal.

Flamini is a regular starter in the same league that Jedinak is almost always benched. Let that sink in.

Let that sink in. No, he's a bench player starting because the first choice was injured. He's not starting regularly anymore. Plus id take Flamini over Jedinak anyway
