Well not much Paul Merson says is worth listening to and Thierry for as much of a legend as he is he does talk some real shit sometimes.

Garbage performance but a win is a win. 'Protest' almost as bad as the performance  Imo this is as embarrassing as anything we've done in the last 12 years. Whoever thought this made sense or was a good idea needs a swift kick in the teeth.

Southampton and Leicester helping us out. Means a win against City guarantees at least 3rd place. Hopefully Chelsea and Southampton can do us a favour against Sp*rs.

Santi made his return for the U21's last night with Rosicky also getting another run out which should see him make at least one more appearance, probably at home to Villa, should this be his final season at the club.

Ozil out with a slight hip complaint, means Welbz comes in for him. Santi back on the bench.

No Ozil and Elneny still preferred over Coquelin, gives me hope we're actually going to be purchasing a DM who can pass this window.

Crap performance, OK result. Means we now need Newcastle to win and we beat Villa. Stranger things have happened but I just can't see it.

Giroud deserves some credit, the only real bright spot out of the game. Also do like that we might play some part in Pep maybe being stuck with the Europa League for next season

Watching the highlights again and I love Cech, still think he's an incredible keeper, but he has a definite weakness for shots low down to his right.

For the first time, but certainly not the last, I began to believe that Arsenals moods and fortunes somehow reflected my own. - Hornby

Quote:Australian midfielder Tom Rogic is edging closer to a move to Europe's football elite with English Premier League giants Arsenal leading the chase for his signature. After overcoming a horror lay-off due to injury, Rogic has bounced back to become one of Australia's hottest properties going into the upcoming European transfer window with Arsenal understood to have been in pursuit of the player for almost a year. The 23-year-old attacking midfielder played an integral role in the title win, and with two games left to play he remains Celtic's second top scorer behind striker Leigh Griffiths. Nine goals in 37 appearances across all competitions marked an impressive return for the former Central Coast Mariners player who was recommended to Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger by Reading coach, Brian McDermott. Having first tried to bring Rogic to Reading in 2013, McDermott is understood to have made the Gunners aware of the Socceroo last year when he briefly worked as Arsenal's chief scout.
