Would be interesting to know if the club were actually planning on unveiling the new kit just yet.

 I cannot wait until Xhaka's first NLD. Been a while since we had a player who I thought would actually murder someone.

The kind of passing we need from that position. Coquelin tries to do it but unfortunately for him he just can't pull it off. Another reason why it's a laugh anytime someone mentions Jedinak and Arsenal in the same sentence

Bellerin is off to Euro 2016 after all, replacing the injured Dani Carvajal. Not sure I like him hanging around all those Barcelona players.

Bild reporting we're interested in Mkihytaryan. Unfortunately Bild isn't usually reliable for much news outside of Bayern Munich.
Also Morata has spoken about Madrid and the Premier League: Key Quotes: Would Morata like to stay at Real Madrid? 'Clearly that is what I like. That is my wish, succeed in Madrid. But in Madrid there are great players. And what I want is to play and feel important.' Does the Premier League seem like a good destination? There are some offers from England that are tempting, not only by the contract. I think for my characteristics the Premier League would also be a great destination. (...) Going to the Premier would not be a step backwards. With what I have learned in Italy, if I have the chance to learn something more in England I think it would make me a more complete, better player. I'm 23 and what I want is progress, to play, to learn from the best. The majority of the questions are about Spain and the Euros, understandably.

Guess he'll stand out when he's bossing England and carrying Wales to the final.

So thinking about it, it makes a lot of sense.
-Proven in the PL -Relatively cheap (fee spoken about atm is 20-22mil) - We played our most fluid football with Walcott up top, he just wasn't clinical or involved enough - Welbeck is out for a year, Vardy is 29. Club rates Welbeck highly, he'll be approaching his peak years when Vardy should be starting to dwindle. -This could be Wengers Fergie/RVP move. A striker at the top of his game to make a serious mount for the title, rather than more of a project like Morata.
Cons -We probably can't sign any Asian players now  -Could be a flash in the pan.

Given our history with Asian players that may not be such a bad thing
Putting aside everything this seems like such a win now move from Arsene, which isn't a bad thing really it's what so many fans have been calling out for.
Most people say he's not the sort of striker we need and he can only play on the counter attack, but I just wonder if it's a case of us just seeing him in a team that plays on the counter attack. You mention Theo and he would essentially be what we hoped Theo would be upfront, just better.
I actually like him better for us than Morata too tbh.

There are also very strong rumours that Gibbs wants to leave (can't blame him) and that we're after Ricardo Rodriguez from Wolfsburg who has a 19million release clause. If we got Vardy and Rodriguez to go with Xhaka for around 70mil all up, that would be amazing business. With two quality young attacking full backs, could open up a change in system as well. Two up front in Sanchez and Vardy would be  Rodriguez and Bellerin providing the width. All potential and rumours of course, but I'm god damn excited for this window. sydneycroatia58 wrote: Most people say he's not the sort of striker we need and he can only play on the counter attack
People forget that teams started sitting deep against Leicester as well when they had to start grinding out wins for the title, and he was still scoring then. Edited by jlm8695: 4/6/2016 04:22:49 PM
