Lavezzi would only be on loan, and Zarate's in Europa League. I read the Bellamy thing and threw up a little. Absolute bollocks. He didn't even make the grade the first time we had him. I'm not sure why we keep seeing rumours linking us to former players. Bellamy, Benayoun, Sissoko and Paletta and that's just off the top of my head.

He's pacy, hard working, and would be a headache for defences towards the end of a match. I certainly wouldn't be against it.

Sorry afroman for some reason when I saw Zarate I thought of Hamsik, don't ask me why. Oh ok Lavezzi on loan would be interesting. Zarate would no doubt be a straight transfer. Not a big fan of Bellamy either, don't see how he would fit in this squad. Sure he has a bit of pace but thats about it. As for the Benayoun rumours they are so laughable, why the hell would we want him back?!

It's all well and good to be working hard, but he has a pretty woeful finish. Late in the game we need someone lethal as much as someone to do the running. If we were going to go taht path, I'd rather we invested in Sturridge. That said, I know that Bellamy is still mates with Gerrard & co. so there wouldn't be a problem settling in.

Way to display ambition. Fuck that. I'm really annoyed with that.

Has Ngog already gone to Bolton? On skysports they're talking about Sturridge coming in... possibly a swap for Meireles?
Carroll, Suarez, Sturridge and Bellamy. A decent looking strike force there, and I would imagine that King Kenny can handle Bellamy's healthy dose of crazy.

Quote:Steve Clarke has revealed Liverpool expect to have Martin Kelly back in action sooner rather than later.
The defender was substituted after half an hour of the Reds' 3-1 win over Bolton Wanderers at the weekend due to a tight hamstring.
However, Clarke has confirmed the problem isn't a serious one.
The first-team coach told Liverpoolfc.tv: "Martin Kelly came off because he felt a little tightness in his hamstring.
"It was obviously disappointing for the player and disappointing for ourselves, but it's looking like a low-grade injury and so he should be back fairly quickly."
Good to hear :)

Quote:Liverpool have completed the signing of United States Under-18 striker Villyan Bijev from California Odyssey after the youngster impressed on trial at the academy during the summer. Bijev does not yet have a work permit so has gone on loan to German side Fortuna Dusseldorf with immediate effect. Looks like our boy Robbie has some extra competition now too

I still can't get over this...our summer recruiting has been Henderson, Downing, Doni, Enrique, Coates, Adam...and Bellamy. It just doesn't make sense.

Bellamy? Well, he's a cheaper third striker, he's better quality than Ngog, he won't be leaving to try and get first team football elsewhere because he's older, he's proper hard, which is what Kenny obviously wants in his squad, and he's free. He also has as many assists as he has goals, because he's not just an out-and-out striker. This thing that looks remarkably like 4-2-4, with a whole bunch of attacking players running all over the place - that's what a creative player like Bellamy thrives on.
That also means Ngog can go to Bolton where he'll get what he wants.

Raul handed in a transfer request...
...still though. 8m and Sturridge to Chelsea is well off the mark, especially because we have Bellamy and the American kid now.

Yeah looks like it. He will know his surroundings at least, won't need much to settle in.
