Still can't get over this. Was a decent fee from memory to sign for Liverpool and to only get one season and a great season at that out of him seems pretty silly.

He requested it. It's fairly clear he's not going to get the same kinds of opportunities anymore. The fact that he gets them at Chelsea only serves to show how poor Chelsea's investment tactics have been, and how much they really wanted Modric and needed a replacement. Besides, we got our money back, which is what matters.

Always had a fucking problem with left back. Always. Even Alec Lindsay, one of the longest serving left backs, was a fucking stop-gap at the time.

As far as I can tell, #LFC have cut £30m off their wage bill and earned about £25m in transfer fees this summer. Net spend.

We've just about broke even then. If so, makes the business in this window all the more impressive.
