I can't believe the number of times we've hit the woodwork this season. Surely headed for some kind of record? I'd love to know what the record is for that, actually.

I was really impressed with Shelvey this morning. His positioning and physicality has improved immensely from his time in the championship.

Still a few things to work on, run in the last 20 minutes was near non-existant, really. But the clean sheet was excellent. To have conceded just 13 goals in 16 games is a solid effort. To remember that 4 of those were conceded against Spurs and we've conceded 9 from the other 15 is just IMMENSE.

I am very pleased with the thought and don’t feel like adding anything in it. It a perfect answer.

Because it's a case of he said, she said. And Evra has admitted to abusing Suarez similarly. To ban Suarez and not Evra is a complete joke.

At least this has happened a matter of days before the transfer window opens again and not months out.

We've got Maxi, Henderson and Kuyt who can play on the right. I think we need another striker. We've been saying all season that we need a more lethal striker. We've only scored 20 goals this season and hit the woodwork 19 times. If that doesn't tell a tale of attacking inadequacy then I don't know what does.

The fact that we've scored less goals than Newcastle, Bolton, Blackburn and Norwich is concerning and we've scored the least goals out of any team with a winning record. Clearly there's need for more potency going forward.

With the way things are going Henderson could find himself next to Adam tho, And Kuyt could well replace Suarez for his ban, Is it me or does Kenny not like Maxi, I know i feel he is average despite his bags of goals this year :?

It's not that Kenny doesn't like Maxi, it's that he's got players he prefers to use in Maxi's positions. I don't blame him. I'd select Kuyt and Downing ahead of Maxi too. But that's not to say he doesn't serve a purpose and we don't have enough quality down the right. Buying another striker would enable us to play Kuyt on the right as usual anyway. Creating chances clearly isn't the issue (as with a matter of cm's we'd have 39 goals to our name this season), finishing them is.

You needed a new striker whether Suarez was banned or not.

100% True. But it's better that he's been banned 10 days out from the transfer window and when we've got opponents we SHOULD be beating regardless and not 2 months back when we'd be rendered far more impotent.

Not banned until the outcome of the appeal is known. Could take the rest of the season given the impact it will have on Terry's fate.

Still need someone else to score/create goals for us though.

We'll still be making a move for an attacking player in January knowing that we could need someone to cover for Suarez for up to two months at any given time.

The Bergkamp vote was biased of me I'll admit, but that's only because he's my favourite player. The Van Persie vote on the other hand is because he has been the best player in the Premier League in 2011, a hell of a lot better than Luis Suarez.

You can't say Luis Suarez or Steven Gerrard deserve to be ahead on either of those polls :lol:

I'm not accusing Liverpool fans of bias, that's always going to happen. It's more the fact that they would hijack a Sky poll so that Suarez would win. The fact that Gerrard is winning the greatest ever EPL player poll is an embarrassment :lol:
