You try to make out we're a club in crisis but it's wide of the mark. Before Blackburn you had only won 3 of your last 9 (if im not mistaken) and 2 games later it's all turned around... I'm not worried about Norwich or anybody else below us. If we dont win v you guys and then at the Stadium of Light, THEN I'll be worried. :P

As for us, it's true before Blackburn our form wasn't the greatest, it was good until the 3 losses in a row we had which fucked everything , but we've turned that around and are back on track.

Yeah... I think every team will have it's turn to be in good/bad form... we were looking good before yesterdays game tbh... but it's by no means an easy fixture list coming up.
I just really want us to win the Carling Cup... I really do. I know it's a mickey mouse trophy, but I just dont want us to do what Arse did and choke in the final... will be so depressing.

Suarez wrote:"I have spoken with the Manager since the game at Old Trafford and I realise I got things wrong.
"I've not only let him down, but also the Club and what it stands for and I'm sorry. I made a mistake and I regret what happened.
"I should have shaken Patrice Evra's hand before the game and I want to apologise for my actions.
"I would like to put this whole issue behind me and concentrate on playing football." Ian Ayre wrote:"We are extremely disappointed Luis Suarez did not shake hands with Patrice Evra before yesterday's game. The player had told us beforehand that he would, but then chose not to do so.
"He was wrong to mislead us and wrong not to offer his hand to Patrice Evra. He has not only let himself down, but also Kenny Dalglish, his teammates and the Club. It has been made absolutely clear to Luis Suarez that his behaviour was not acceptable.
"Luis Suarez has now apologised for his actions which was the right thing to do. However, all of us have a duty to behave in a responsible manner and we hope that he now understands what is expected of anyone representing Liverpool Football Club." Edited by sydneycroatia58: 13/2/2012 01:25:51 AM

Now where's Evras apology? You'd think being a captain he would....
He was a man of specific quirks. He believed that all meals should be earned through physical effort. He also contended, zealously like a drunk with a political point, that the third dimension would not be possible if it werent for the existence of water.

Glad he's apologised, was disappointing to watch.
Hopefully this ends it (but I doubt it).

marconi101 wrote:Now where's Evras apology? You'd think being a captain he would.... For an apparently 'leader' of the team, his actions were immature and no better than Suarez's. He should likewise be apologising. The game on a whole was disappointing. We could have been a lot better, again we were let down in the final third after dominating the midfield. If only Suarez had kept his feet in that challenge from Ferdinand instead of being more interested in getting someone sent off than putting it in the onion bag, we could be talking about an entirely different game.

If Suarez said he would shake and then didn't I'm disappointed.
Anyway, good to see he's apologised, lets all move on now \:d/

Glad he apologised, even though he would have been forced to. People trying to make Evra look as bad, if not worse than Suarez is pathetic.
The apology should have been made out to Evra as well.
I want to move on but there no chance of this going away.

Letting out his emotion out and celebrating in front of his own fans in a way which wasn't hurting anyone? Sure he acted quite childishly when Suarez refused to shake his hand but you can't actually say he owes everyone an apology for that! #-o

The reaction at the end was unwarranted and juvenile, but it barely deserves a public apology.
I'm just disgusted that so much has been made of this. Media are a fucking joke in England, I hate it. I understand it's controversial but it's all been whipped into a frenzy.
Let's move on!!

The funniest thing, I think, is the fact that all of this bullshit could've been avoided had Suarez just shook Evra's hand

And can I just add I cannot believe the "righteous indignation" exhibited by both Suarez and John Terry. You've said some nasty racist stuff. You've been punished as a result. Just shut up, cop it, learn from it and move on and never do it again. Although perhaps if you're the type that goes around racially abusing people you may be a slow learner...

I want to move on but there no chance of this going away. They're each as bad as each other. No one player is any more to blame. The fact that Phil Dowd had to restrain Evra when Suarez rejected his handshake says it all. It's also worth noting that Rio Ferdinand in turn rejected Suarez's handshake after seeing what happened (which is fair enough, really) and nothing came from it - aside from Evra clattering him in his over-zealous attempts to mortally wound Suarez. As has been said, it was poor form by Suarez. My main concern is that I think the only reason he backed down and apologised was that he realised that he wasn't going to get the backing of the club or gaffer for his actions. Again I'm perplexed by the sincerity of his apology. But Evra still needs to take a long hard look at himself, remember that it takes two to tango.

I think the orders have come from FSG to both Kenny and Luis to apologise... they don't want the brand of the club tarnished any more and have told them to apologise... Ayre coming out and sticking his nose in it is a bit irritating... I mean, where were you when the rest of this shit was happening Ian? Nowhere, and now you just come out and slam your player. Should've kept his mouth shut, apologies from KD and LS were enough.
Aside from who was guilty or whatever... Evra is going to be booed every time we play United from now on.
I love how when he ran in front of Luis to try and provoke him, Pepe and Martin were in there in a fucking FLASH  God I love those two.
On Martin - he deserves a lot more credit than he gets... the last few months he has been nothing short of excellent. Dagger gets a lot of the plaudits but they complement each other extremely well... I really hope they both stay fit, because as a CB pairing, with Pepe behind them and Lucas in front of them... great defence. Enrique is a tank too, and Johnson... it's a tough one, he's been a fantastic attacking threat but he's a bit of a liability defensively... I wouldn't mind giving Kelly a few starts. I expect to see him against Brighton in any case.

Read that report about FSG. How much do you think will come of this talk of pressure to offload Suarez at the end of the season because I can see him slipping up and doing something stupid before May.

Quote:I mean, where were you when the rest of this shit was happening Ian? Nowhere, and now you just come out and slam your player. Should've kept his mouth shut, apologies from KD and LS were enough. That's what we have a club spokesman for. Ayre should have kept his mouth firmly shut. Quote:I love how when he ran in front of Luis to try and provoke him, Pepe and Martin were in there in a fucking FLASH Was kind of expecting Martin to steamroll the cunt tbh. It's good to see him back in form and playing his best football. Quote:great defence. Enrique is a tank too, and Johnson Enrique in the first half was incredibly mediocre. And both the goals came from down the right side of the United attack. Probably the worst game he's played for us...but he was still respectable. Quote:Read that report about FSG. How much do you think will come of this talk of pressure to offload Suarez at the end of the season because I can see him slipping up and doing something stupid before May. I dunno that we'd sell him in the summer because it would mean taking a massive loss on him regardless. There's no point when he has undeniable ability and brings something to the team. You just need to find adequate reinforcements and keep putting him in his place. If he hasn't learned his lesson in a season or two then it's time to re-assess. This reminds me a lot of the calls for Ronaldo to be offloaded after the WC debacle with Rooney, can't see LFC giving into it and nor should they however I do think Suarez is more likely to fuck up again than Ronaldo was, but as long as he learns from the massive scrutiny surrounding this issue surely he will keep his head down now and think twice before he acts out again.

At the time we'd have said the same thing about Ronaldo though. And he's still fucking up, but it's water under the bridge now.

Shit happens, lets get onto the Seagulls game - I'm looking forward getting back to football and I'm really curious what start up team KK will finish up with.... If KK ends up supporting our key man up front after all the debacle/s I really hope to see LS deliver the goods for the rest of the season. I'd say the whole squad will be fired up to get on with business and play for the shirt even more so now let do it guys can't wait to watch. Edited by m.l.: 15/2/2012 10:48:43 AM

! i dont get this. Anyone would have have done the same thing if they were in his situation. Celebrated with soo much emotion and joy. He didnt do anything to Suarez. People are making a bigger deal of it because the ref ran to Evra and then everyone else followed. Edited by zimbos_05: 15/2/2012 10:50:40 AM
