The only people defending Evra's actions are United fans.

Fantastic win, Andy, Luis, Downing and Skrtel all brilliant. Gerrard should get given his goal, not an OG IMO.
Home to Stoke in the next round... Chelsea and Spurs a big chance to go through. If we make it past Stoke probably get one of those in the semi.
Walk on!

Yeah. Stoked to see Andy and Luis both on the scoresheet. I hope they both start up top on the weekend at Wembley. Bellamy must start though too - gotta find a way to fit them all in!
Skrtel once again, what a man. Honestly, in the last few months, best CB in the league. Without a doubt.

Well there is some doubt there  I wouldn't say he's been head and shoulders above everyone else the best CB in the league the last few months, but definitely up there.

Yeah, I guess I watch him every week so I'm more aware of his performances than perhaps other clubs. But I mean, Kompany hasn't been at his best/been suspended, Vidic has been out, JT, Ferdinand, Luiz, none of those have stepped up. I guess his competition would be Koscielny? Or King/Dawson. I can't think of any others who have been consistently outstanding in the last few months.

Yeah I'd say over the last, say 3 months, him and Koscielny have been easily the best in the league, and neither get the credit they deserve imo.

Agreed. I use to pay out Koscielny but the last few games I watched he was solid.

A lot of people judge him based on last season where he struggled with the pace of the league, but this season he has been unbelievable. I don't any Arsenal fan even expected a season like this from him.

Can't fault a 6-1 win. Pity there were so many OG's, but you can put that down to good offensive pressure and stellar all-round performances.
Skrtel's been very good lately, but the last time he performed this well it went to his head.

He's been this good for months now though - it's not just a few games.

Yeah, but he had a good 3-4 months when he first joined us and then fell apart.

Skrtels a been quality this season and better then the entire back 4 Arsenals got at the moment leaking goals by the half a dozen in 2 games  Edited by cgorac: 20/2/2012 11:44:02 PM

No. We've made a banner for two great number 7s at this club - one from the past and one hopefully long into the future. Why is there a problem with that?

There comes the debate.
It is done in support of two fan favourites and that's great but like the shirts, there is a time and place, Liverpool's first trip to Wembley in years is not the place. They have hurt the club, last thing they need is to put their faces across the stadium
That is the beauty saying it is for two great number 7s. It was like us saying Evra was celebrating in front of the Stretford End, where in reality he was celebrating in front of Suarez. We know this isn't about the number 7.

Why is it not the place? I don't understand. These are two men that Liverpool fans love. Why are we not allowed to fly a banner about them? I have no idea where you're coming from.

Where the fuck did I say you are not allowed?
All I am saying is that this is more than just two fan favourites, this is a having a go at the FA and United. I have no problems with it, it is a good bit of banter but if you can't see the bigger picture behind it you are blind.
If I were a Liverpool fan, I would be doing something for Gerrard or Carragher. Two legends who are about to win what will most likely be their last trophy for Liverpool.

They should win this cup yes?
Yes, they can win this years FA Cup but so can teams like Spurs, Chelsea, it isn't nailed on like the League Cup.
What are the trophies they have a good shot at in the future. Cups are no certainty (except this League Cup:d ). You are very good and honest about Liverpool Afro, tell me you think Carragher will win another trophy?

There is no way you can categorically say what will or won't happen next season.

That's why I said most likely.
They are massive favourites for the League Cup this season. I would bet they have a better chance of beating Cardiff, then they do winning the league next season.

Edited by busbybabe: 21/2/2012 11:40:05 AM You said 'this is not the place' to fly the banner. Why not? Also, this has Sweet FA to do with United/FA. It's about supporting our player and manager. Not everything is about you.
