Of course, but its not usually until the season starts. Cowardly tackles from behind in pre-season friendlies are just dick moves. I hope when the season starts Bale dishes one out on Charlie. Then again, I think Gareth is a better man than that. Maybe Thudd should dish one of those out to Gerrard and see LFC fans bitch into the next decade  Or in Imno's case, what if that was Lucas? Agree with benelsmore, dog challenge. tbf though, Bale is being a whinging bitch.

Adam is a dog midfielder and yep he goes in wrong and I'm sure his brain isn't fixed that its off season ;) Oh BB re kaka and as if that would happen but - I used to like seeing a kid named Rooney in blue, suited him far better then he turned into shrek in the other shirt go figure ;)

Poor tackle for sure, not as bad as Bale and AVB are making out out to be though.

The way Bale and AVB were carrying on i thought it was two footed tackle flying in and studs showing. They have definitely over hyped the situation and making something out of nothing. bad tackle, but not as bad as they saying.
On another note, i dont get football clubs. Rodgers says Aqua is in his plans and Aqua says he cant wait to work with brendan and play for the club. Next minute he is off to Fiorentina??? I think its a big loss.

I feel like this is a sort of tackle Scholes would put in and everyone would laugh it off saying "Scholes can't tackle" just unfortunate that Adam is nowhere near as good as Scholes and has not been playing in the top flight for nearly as long.

The Aqua leaving story came out of The People with no source or quotes - but because the headline was 'Rodgers sells Aquilani' everyone takes it seriously. He's not gone yet.
That said, he can pass the ball well which fits the system Rodgers wants, but he doesn't work hard enough off the ball for me to fit it totally... needs to pick up his work rate.

BBC talking about it now too... He certainly could be off, and the fact he's on 100k+ will work against him.

Vaughn2111 wrote:There's a fair bit of talk around Sahin going on loan this season and I think a few clubs are putting offers in. Only issue is that he's probably on a massive wage. Sahin is a definite possibility and I'd take him at Liverpool. Fuck, he's a better option than bloody Joe Allen  He might be on a big wage, but he'd be cheaper than Aquilani too. As for Kaka, noise in italy is that he's all but back at Milan. The Adam tackle really wasn't that bad. A little sloppy, but you'd think that he took an axe to Bale the way people are carrying on. Honestly, it's a non-incident.

He hasnt done anything wrong and is definitely a top player. Id be disappointed if he left.

Another informative post/s by steel6  seriously mate your the type of football supporter you wish weren't around, you should mix with the ol' nsl types. Thanks Vaughan for the short vid re Adam v's Bale - storm in a tea cup as far as I'm concerned, sure a free kick and card if similar tackles performed by offending player during same game.

Lucas was given a chance, Aqua was just berated by the media and then Roy never gav him a chance

When sleel 'watches' games, does he do it with his eyes open? Surely must have some kind of visual impairment.
Aquilani's a quality player, but he's been crucified in England because of his large transfer fee, injury problems and the fact that he's struggled to keep up with the pace of the game in England (and far from the first talented player to have that problem).

Sahin to Liverpool makes perfect sense, Jose and Brendan are seemingly on good terms, playing week in week out in England and Europe can only help his development and best of all for Madrid is he wouldn't be able to effect their league or champions league ambitions unlike a Bilbao, Dortmund or Chelsea. In saying all that he will probably be off to Spurs as part of the Modric deal(loan or permanent).

Aqua is a tough one.. his first spell here was an absolute disaster, missing games with a 'stomach ache' and other ludicrous things... injured every 2nd week but when he did get out on the park he was quite impressive. I'd like him here as a squad player but when we signed him he was meant to be a key player so we had him on big wages... so the owners may not think he is worth so much per week which is understandable.

Apparently 36mil has been accepted and the deal is underway. Not official though as far as I know. It's also Spurs, we often do stupid things as a club. Don't expect Sahin at WHL any time soon.

I would actually consider Spurs to be quite good in the transfer market, maybe that's just because i'm used to seeing rubbish brought in for inflated prices at Liverpool tho :-k
