For me, Liverpool's performance adds more weight to what I said last season, Liverpool are full of MOTD players. No surprise at all to see them put in a top performance at home against the champions and the total opposite in a 'smaller' game at WBA.

We went out and bossed the champions with our youngest team in 10 years, i think that sums up what we are trying to be about.

Looking forward to seeing the replay but imno has given a fair brief I see. Ah young Sterling - as I said earlier a breath of fresh air look forward seeing his efforts.

City are always a threat, but they got lucky last night. We got lucky with Silva not starting tho, he transforms that team, so much better than Nasri.

I could watch that Skrtel header 100 times without getting tired of it. What a fucking header.

Yeah, without taking anything away from Liverpool's performance, City were really quite average. You guys really gifted them two goals, disappointing - but only yourselves to blame.

Yeah, saw this earlier. Good to see that side of Brendan, although it does look a little bit staged

I have heard a few people say this, but why would BR agree to stage things like this, it just doesn't seem like something he would do. It wasn't all that impressive an incident in any case.

I don't think it's so much them setting it up but more him being hooked up to the mic and the camera on him and him just wanting to show that side of him.
He would have felt the need to say something other than pass the ball there.

Surely this kind of thing would happen naturally tho? I mean you have a 17 year old who has been brought to the club for what will turn out to be 5m and possesses tremendous talent, hes going to be a little cocky..
I guess its all irrelevant anyhow, we will surely discover whether any of it is staged or not minutes into the first episode.

I thought that first goal was embarrasing to concede. The second...fuck me. Yeah, only got ourselves to blame. We played really well. Sterling and Johnson had them all over the shop on the left. I thought Borini was terrible. And Suarez's finishing was atrocious too, save for the free kick. Any news on the severity of Lucas?

Agree afro there was a few embarrassing moments - tevez earlier winning the ball near the box and being mm's off the line cross's right across our goal line hitting the far post ball bobbling finally being cleared. All in all solid performance after the wba game though expected at home vsing a top club and champs. Losing Lucas 5mins in didn't help purely knowing how well he covers (whats the scenario with him ?) - Joe Allen well done ! =d> Louis's finishing has been similar end of last season, just can't take a shot cleanly or get in position but then his place kick was unbelieveable what technique ! Hope Borini gets his striking boots on - has been presented good chances last 2games with no deposit, we need he and LS banging them in , Sterling will get them for sure soon enough I feel. I think BR should play LS at point and Borini playing behind him. citeh had some great chances but we presented 2 gifts - yes we should have got the 3.

Lucas could be out for 2 months apparently, but it's all speculation. We have plenty of cover in the middle though, as much as I'd hate to lose him.

Good news today with Lucas apparently only out for 2 weeks. Will miss Arse game but probably back for Sunderland.

It'd do him a world of good to go out on loan really.

So, Walcott anyone? I'd take him in a heartbeat.
Adam and Spearing look to be on the way out. We're still being linked with Afellay too.

Yep Spearing would probably do a world of good for himself elsewhere and a loan period is spot on imo. Our mid choices now are above his level. Look forward for Adam departure, he also may find himself elsewhere for he has hardly delivered since with us. Walcott ? I actually hope Rodgers looks for an out and out striker - I'll cop it maybe from some here but even though 31 and gone elsewhere it looks berbatov would have done the job ! Fuck walcott imo, he's a train wreck on the run, pace and all but overrated 8-[
