We just still have no cutting edge. If Suarez or Gerrard don't step up and have a blinder I don't know where the goals will come from.

Not having Lucas will hurt. Hopefully Sahin can get some fitness midweek.

Watched the first ep of Being: Liverpool. Enjoyed it.

Just caught the end of the replay of the Sunderland match before the EPL highlights and it's a bit nuts to think this is the first time in 101 years Liverpool haven't won any of their first 4 league games.

Crazy stat that but with their squad and their fixtures so far, it's not that big a surprise.

just a quick note to let any liverpool supporters know that the LFC Supporters Club of NSW has a function on this sunday at Cheers, FoxSports will be in attendance presenting the doco "Being Liverpool" from 8pm (doco starts at 9pm) and also to soak up the atmosphere for the game against United at 1030pm.

Fixed for accuracy. We could've won 3-0 and he'd still piss and moan.

These were my ratings from LFC.


Jones - 6. Can't really fault him for much, we don't expect him to be a world beater.
Wisdom - 7. Very impressed, good goal and looks comfortable on the ball. I think we'll see him a bit more.
Coates - 6.5. Was solid, didn't make many errors and did well against the power of Bobadilla (some player he is)
Carra - 5.5. Not as horrible as some are suggesting but it wasn't his finest game.
Enrique - 4. No idea what's going on with him but he's really struggling. I hope it's injury related.

Sahin - 6.5. Absolutely oozes class, terrific passing range, I think he'll be a superb player for us. Was a bit quiet though.
Hendo - 8. Great assists, got stuck in and defended well and kept the ball moving.
Suso - 6.5. Showed some flashes of absolute brilliance but they were too few and far between

Downing - 3.5. Honestly, I've ALWAYS defended Downing on here, but tonight he was just useless. He can't beat his man, he can't do anything. I know he set up the first goal but that was dumb luck, aside from that he was just awful. It's a shame because I thought he could be good for us.

Pacheco - 6.5 Did well early on but faded. Worked very hard and was involved in some nice play

Assaidi - 7. Very impressed, he beat his man more often than not, blistering pace, lacked final product but I'm excited.

Subs:
Shelvey - 8.5. Scored two goals, what more is there to say?
Borini - 7. All 3 goals that were scored after he came on wouldn't have happened without his presence (IMO). Happy for him.
Sterling - NA, didn't see the ball.


On the whole I'm pretty happy, some poor goals conceded from individual errors, but we showed good character to get back into it. Some exciting new faces.
