Coutinho played bloody well.
And then there's that Carragher starts and we pull out a drop-drawer performance. I still stand by that Skrtel and Agger don't work together.
All-in-all a very satisfying result (other than the obvious wondering why we couldn't play like that this week). The only downer being poor Borini. The lad can't catch a break.

We won. And drew the aggregate. That fucking away goal rule.

Proud of the effort. Just fell short.
Lets focus on top 6.

The lads showed a lot of character, but that's a really disappointing way to go out. Especially after a mistake from Carra. There goes our last shot at a trophy. #-o

The important thing is: Carragher played his last European Game with a win. One moment he'd rather forget but still.

I didn't want to mention the Carra error in my previous post - now you guys spoiled it :( He sure didn't deserve it but he stuffed up imagine how he feels even though it was a win. Not worried of trophys - we are not worthy but we are improving - a couple more good buys we will be in far better shape to avoid dropping those type of games we have these last weeks. We finish strong the remaining games there will be a good buzz amongst Anfield for next season I'm hoping. Edited by M.L.: 22/2/2013 03:43:04 PM

One person's optimism is another person's chronic denial.

I still have hopes of seeing Liverpool lift the title before I'm 30.
If we keep this up I might be able to see that...

Football doesn't take a lot to change mind. I mean for all we know, van Persie will have a shit season, Torres will be a goalscoring machine, and Allen will get an assist next season.
Patience is needed this season. We need to steady the ship more than anything else, then build on it.

Form is a fickle thing. But that would be an insane change and too high a standard for too many mediocre players for Liverpool. Too much has to change for us to win a title in the next two seasons.

Our first team is world class, we just have no depth. A few solid defenders and a goalkeeper, as well as solid backup midfielders in the off-season will do wonders for us, as the majority of our attack and midfield wouldn't look out of place at Manchester UNited. I have little doubt Sterling will improve as well, he's certainly impressed this season.

I'd say Suarez, Lucas, Gerrard and Agger could be called "world class". The rest of the supporting cast are a long way from that. Coutinho will be though.

I included Johnson and Sturridge in there as well, but I forgot to include the word "mostly" before world class  I didn't get much sleep last night, bare with me.

Apparently Rodgers was in Rotterdam on Sunday to watch Feyenoord v PSV and have a look at Stefan De Vrij and Kevin Strootman.

I heard De Vrij and Indi. I don't think we'd be able to prise Strootman from them.
