Can someone explain why a matter of days after the club announcing Joe Allen needs a shoulder operation and will be out for three months, he's been named in the Wales squad?

Because he doesn't have to have the surgery now. They'll probably wait until the season is almost over and then do it

It was announced he needed surgery before the Sprs game. They just haven't set a date for when it will happen.

BR stated that Allen will have the surgery sooner rather than later so he can be ready for pre-season training.

Nice comments from Stevie about Coutinho Quote:'He's got moments of magical brilliance,' said the Reds captain of Coutinho, who is already on his fourth professional club having left Vasco da Gama for Italy in 2010 and also spent six months on loan at Espanyol. 'I think you'll see the best of him next season when he gets a full pre-season under his belt and gets used to the speed of the game. 'What he has shown for 55 or 60 minutes is that he's a top player and he belongs in a Liverpool shirt. 'If we can get that for 90 minutes from him next season then he's going to be a great asset for us.'
Samba style: Liverpool's Brazilian midfielder Philippe Coutinho is starting to excite at Anfield Team-mate Jose Enrique is another similarly impressed by Coutinho's start to his Anfield career. 'The numbers speak for themselves: in four games he has two assists and one goal so I hope he will continue like this scoring goal and making assists," said the left-back, who combined well with the Brazilian in the build-up to Liverpool's first goal against Tottenham last weekend. 'He is the type of a player, as a big team, you have to have. 'He can create from nothing in a one versus one. He is playing really well right now and he is the type of player we need. 'Defenders are important but you need people who can score goals and we have now.'

I swear I've missed a news article or something, but what happened to Sterling? i don't think he's even been on the bench in awhile.

After coming off a 3-2 win over spurs, we'll probably get beaten 1-0 by Southhampton.

He's had 41 outings all up this season, some rest would do him some good.

Not taking anything away from Southampton, or giving an excuse for the pathetic showing, but fuck that linesman.
Same onethat denied us an onside goal against Everton too.

Apparently we've been keeping close tabs on Christian Eriksen.

yer SG's header off our line was fantastic and damn relief - Pepe was no where thankfully SG was gaurding the post, Pepe gave him big slaps on the back haha Coutingo's touchs are amazing - he's got great feel of the ball, some other flicks and pass's during th egame were great capped off by that perfect through ball for Hendo's goal. His only negative is that he's a light weight, a strong opposite defender gets him off the ball at times but he sure is faster and smarter to counter this. Villa at home had us under the pump thats for sure - 1st half they out hussled us many times. Watching Luis at times you just can't believe how he weaves and controls the ball, unbelieveable what he does, pity a couple of shots didn't go in for him. As mentioned lets hope we consolidate this win with another next.

Agree afro - villa had us back pedalling many times and were unlucky not to jag a goal or 2 more. Mind you under their circumstances and at home any team in that position will fight like mad. We didn't control play enough at all. Pepe was flat totally at that time. Johnson hit the post with one outside attempt, Coutinho had a one on one with the keeper should have been gone for the right hand side but went the harder angle imo. Luis from a defensive error mid 1st half had a one on one as well, angle was more acute but he hit it straight to the keeper. As said a win is a win we got to do much better v's the hammers ! Alonso return ?

Problem with Liverpool is that we shit ourselves when we come across a strong center forward, such as Benteke or Lambert.

De Vrij looks like a good option.d Or maybe with QPR going down we can hook Samba.
