Quote:Suarez just needs 4 goals from last 8 games to break Cron/Shearer's goal record in a 38 game season. We play against some shocking defences in that time too. I think the record's definitely doable. Quote:Will be cheering for United in the Manc derby. Hate myself for it but I have to. Can see them getting trounced though. A draw will do. United would take a draw in a heartbeat if you offered it now.

Hopefully Skrtel bangs another fluke header into the black kats net getting us onto good start \:d/ As season comes to the final stages every bloody game has me 8-[ no matter who we play. Wonder what line up BR puts out this time, I'll be home watching please make our day :d

Absolute must win. Fly out of the blocks and put 3 past them in 30 minutes. Gotta keep the momentum going into next week. Home to Spurs, we should take them but you never know with Spurs, they can show up on some days (increasingly rare though)
I'm worried about the West Ham away game after that.

I'm worried about Gerrard. 1 more yellow in the next 4 games, with the 4th being city and then he's out for 2.
I'd say rest him game 2 and 3 against spuds and west ham since he might be off his game if he's thinking about not getting a yellow in the back of his mind. Plus Lucas is back and was playing well at DM before he got injured. Good opportunity to play him into form.
I'd also start playing Sahko over Agger.

Fucking nailbiting stuff that. Not our best display but loved the work rate throughout.
Trounce Spurs at home now on Sunday please. Can't believe we've won 7 on the bounce. Can't remember the last time that happened.

What incriminating photos of BR does Flanagan have? Another clumsy defensive lapse leads to another goal. To only lose by 1 was flattering to Sunderland.
There are only two intellectually honest debate tactics: (a) pointing out errors or omissions in your opponent’s facts, or (b) pointing out errors or omissions in your opponent’s logic. All other debate tactics are intellectually dishonest - John T. Reed

Who would you suggest we play at LB? Aly was nothing more than average there.
Flanagan has been very good for the most part. He had a lapse, every single player in our team has had them this season. Ludicrous to point the finger at him, he's been excellent of late.

Even though he is a RB really I am disappointed about Wisdom being out on loan. better than Flanagan imo. Also the worst thing about tonight's game was the advertising hoardings with "official coffee of Liverpool Football Club - Dunkin Donuts". Wasn't annoyed with then sponsoring us but that is taking things too far

yer I wouldn't kick Flanno too hard, up till then his play has been sound and improving the past month or so. Even the best lose their man in corners, it was always going to be a nail biter after not converting so many chances #-o Poor Luis had one of those days where he beat his man so many times but slipped or lost control then his shot typically going for top corners were missing by inches or more - one of those days. Coutinho had a constructive game but his shooting stinks, need to practice his timing to nail some powa ! Johnson is the one who frustrates most - his attack sense towards the box has no idea, countless times takes the wrong option, then late in the game as mentioned by commentators being a NT player he gives away a needless freekick edge of the box #-o seriously he's ??????? imo. 3points playing to their standard by end of the game. Why hasn't BR introduced Sakho and even Lucas to get some runs on the board for the run home. Need to nail spurs - going to be another nail biter.

I just hate when Johnson does that thing he does like EVERY time. Runs forward down the right, cuts inside on his left, takes a few sideways touches and then shoots. So frustrating. He had a pretty poor game.
Was surprised he didn't bring Lucas on for Allen with 15 to go.
So nervous about Stevie now though - yellow against Spurs or Wham and he'll miss the City game and that would SUCK. He's a massive influence in games like that.

Flanno might be struggling on the left but he's better there than Cissokho, who's a good tackler but consistently fails to read the play correctly and is caught out of position or playing a man on side. Knowing our luck Stevie will get booked v Hammers

Liverpool break the record for the most 4+ goal games in a season with 11.
8 goals more than City but still 3 behind on GD. Hopefully they don't get too many in the games in hand so we're more or less on parity.

The way your frontline plays is sexy to watch, even when it is demolishing my beloved team

Got up at 2 for this one and glad I did.
4-0 didn't flatter us at all, and not to say we were amazing but Spurs were just terrible. They gave us so much time and space on the ball, midfield barely got out of 2nd gear especially after it was 2-0. Made it very easy for us.
I have big worries about the West Ham game, but if we can win that one and then go into City game with that belief and fire, I think we can take them. Then it's 10 wins on the bounce and THEN we're right on the cusp.

No point putting it off, us fans here don't put pressure on teams, you are well and truly front runners now, the form and the way things are falling for you guys, you are favourites.

Yeah. If those two games were away I'd be packing it. But at Anfield I truly think we can get at least 4 pts from those two games.

Hammers must win as imno says good to go against citeh on the roll but I expect they to give us real run for the points, better attack than chelski no doubt about it........

Chelsea still have CL to worry about, that could distract them and make them drop off the pace even more, in fact there were some suggestion that Chelsea's players had one eye on the game against PSG coming up midweek that's why they were abysmal against Palace.

Great win, Spurs were utter shite but still a top team performance.
It's in our hands now. I guess the difference between us and the others is that no one expected us to be here and even if we end up third or fourth it will still be a great season for us, so less pressure in some respects.

If we can beat City, then we're favourites. But until that point we're waiting on other teams doing us favours. Hopefully Southampton can hold them to a draw this weekend.

MAN CITY FIXTURES
Southampton
Liverpool
Sunderland
West Brom
Crystal Palace
Everton
Aston Villa
West Ham
Only see Liverpool and Everton as tricky games for them. Not a bad run in. Hope they choke though.

West Ham game is going to be tough.
100 bucks says Andy fucking Carroll scores one and knocks one down for Nolan to smash in as well.
We'll have to score 3 or 4.

On the City home run the way I see it : Saints won't be an easy game the way they played over the weekend. Palace - stunned chelski they'll feel after that another big scalp is possible - hopefully not us 2nd last game  . Toffees - well our neighbours are licking their lips for a top 4 as well, depending on results by then could be a cracker going either way. Hammers - as imno mentions could be another tester but isn't it a home for citeh ? Here's our run : Hammers - Away - going to be a dog fight for sure, must win ! Citeh - Home - love a win from this ! but 8-[ Canaries - away - please Luis stay true to form get another hat trick :) Chelski - Home - I expect win Palace - away - not easy depending on their table position by then edgy game depending on circumstances for both sides Toons - Home - win !
