- David Moyes has finally succeeded in getting Everton above Man United despite not attending a single Everton training session all season.

- Liverpool have won an away match against a lowly team battling for survival and their fans are complaining about their performance.
- Man United fans are saying it's Liverpool's season while Reds fans are looking for any reason to talk down their chances, despite Liverpool's form.

Johnson - Skrtel - Agger - Flanagan

Nope, we've seen that Skrtel and Agger don't work well together in previous seasons. Hopefully we can get a defensive overhaul over the summer along with a big name signing or two to give us real depth for a European campaign.

Certainly hope mignolet gets back on his game, worst performance I reckon, sakho and Johnson put us in the shit.......positives as said we can overcome this with our attack but BR has to get a couple of solid new backs definitely for next season !

Liverpool Legends is on Fox2 10.30pm FYI..........

Just adding on here for my sake
Enjoyed seeing a capacity Anfield watching our past greats and some lacing up in honour of the 96.

To see McManaman and Robbie link up many times was blast from the past for me so much, seeing Jan and Sammy what great times, Rushie was/is still my Legend and seeing KKenny back on the pitch was just the finish all loved to see.

Been an amazing past week for us Reds - now back to business this next game is going to be massive !

Not questioning Gerrard's integrity, he is as honest a player as you get but it just got worse everytime you saw it. I honestly think he saw Drogba though.

The Jose 'we wont play a good team' is complete wank and his usual stupid mind games. The squad he puts out will probably be a bit different to the one that played Atletico but still probably contain the likes of Oscar, Matic, Eto'o, Salah, Ivanovic etc. Its still going to be a very decent side

Any team missing Ramires, Terry, Cech...and no doubt Hazard and Eto'o is going to be taking quite the drop in quality.

Now need to win both remaining games. I can't see City picking up maximum points from their remaining matches, Everton away in particular. Cardiff have been a difficult team to beat at home and they host the rent on the last day of the season.

Well their spoiling low belt tactics weren't unexpected from the get go, typical mourinho, kudos to their players but my how wrong we were palying to their tune.
Its park the bus so why did we not pick up our pace attacking their last 3rd instead of slowing down and lining up in front of their box ?! flat footed and no where to go countless times grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Surely bring the ball back deep and re counter with pace once they had moved higher on the pitch would have opened up their rear stance - we hardly attempted this.
Johnson - for the life of me how many squandered attempts going outside ?!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you make me wonder so many times.
Not the end of the world but disappointing to lose our 1st in 2014 this way.

My loathing of Mourinho has reached new levels. The man is a complete and utter hypocrite. Acuses West ham of playing '19th century football' earlier in the season and does the exact same thing at anfield. Spends over 100mil on some of the best attacking talent in the world simply to play stoke city tactics. You'd expect that kind of game from a relegation battler! And now everyones heralding the man as a genius!

It was quite Genious, the whole week. He talked up his understrength squad (basically covering his arse if Liverpool crushed him) then knowing we score early did every underhanded thing he could to slow our momentum down.

We had one mistake, that won them the game, but in all honesty without that moment it would have been 0-0.

Im a big supporter of Lucas but though he was well off last night. Joe Allan was good value though.

And of course schwartzer has to have a blinder of a game. Allen's shot would've gone in from most keepers.

In a way, champions league football for Chelsea didn't help us at all like I had hoped. We probably would've had a better chance if he played a first team side that actually tried to play football.

Anyway, i actually have more faith that Villa or West Ham will take points from city more than Everton. Martinez will actually try to take the game to city and I think city will just overpower them. Villa and West Ham actually play park the bus and counter attacking football which if they can hold on till half time, we could see City crumble since a point won't be enough.

Chelsea would've parked the bus, but probably not as much since it doesn't really suit Oscar Willian or Hazard.

He did play a different role but point taken. Not that it was really hard to play well since they were already 1-0 up at the time. Gave him less defenders to attack with so many liverpool players forward.

I think BR and the players just got their tactics wrong this game, many sides have come and parked the bus at Anfield before and we always try to stretch the defence out first before going forward and last night we just continuously attacked a dead horse.

Suarez should've played on the wing imo, he'd have taken 2 or 3 players with him and I always love seeing him dribble past players from the wing.

Can't cry about this now, let's got to Palace and smash them 6-1 (we always concede) and really take it to last day :p

City's record at Goodison is also a good reason to be optimistic LLLLWLDLLDDLLDL.

Mirallas, Jagielka and Barry out are reasons not to be.

But hey, City almost fucked up their last title so let's hope they get the shakes again.

Even if Stevie had stayed on his feet, Chel$ki would have clinched that goal at the end, he's not to blame. Liverpool's tactics and style of play didn't change even after Ba scored- they were still chasing their first goal.

I agree with Glenn- Mourinho's ego is huge and my respect for him and the Rent is gone after Sunday's match. He complains about West Ham parking the bus and time-wasting- then employs exactly the same tactics in what should have been one of the highlight matches of the season. Mourinho's whinging about the refs after the Sunderland game last weekend, the blatant time-wasting yesterday, Drogba's "It's a fucking disgrace!" rant after their loss to Barca in the 2009 CL semi final, their chav fans mocking the Hillsborough victims at the FA Cup semi two years ago, the plastic fans who wouldn't have a clue about any Chelsea player or trophy pre- 2003, their constant merry-go-round of playing staff and managers- are all evident of a team with no culture and no class, a cashed- up bunch of poor winners and sore losers. As much as I cannot stand Man United, I at least respect that their success and their history was built on the back of finding the right managers to promote a positive, attacking style of play and developing a club culture that players wanted to be a part of. This is what lead to their success under Busby (who had to rebuild an entire squad from scratch after the Munich tragedy and led them to the Champions League a decade later) and then Fergie (who cleared out the dead-wood at the club, developed an emerging squad of players and then had the planets align right at the beginning of the Premier League era- prick!). I wouldn't say I hate Chelsea but I have no respect for the fact that they only became relevant when Abramovich decided he wanted a tax write-off. I have no respect for the way they assume that success can just be bought and the lack of patience for any manager who doesn't win silverware in a year. I can't see Mourinho ever becoming for Chelsea what Shankly, Fergie or Wegner were for Liverpool, Man United or Arsenal. The moment they go a season or two without trophies, he'll be gone. They represent everything that is wrong about modern football. The Rent have the players and the money (courtesy of Roman) to play up-tempo attacking football and match it with the biggest clubs in Europe, but instead play like Stoke City on steroids- not just in England but in the Champions League as well. Sure, it might sound like a bitter rant here :-({|= , but this is something I have noticed about them for a while now- and it reared its' ugly head again yesterday and spoiled what could have been a great game even for those who don't follow either side.

I'm sure I won't be the only person celebrating the day Abramovich gets bored with his toy, bails out and they become London's equivalent of Leeds United...

Sorry but that's not true. If Liverpool were not a goal down, they would not have been pushing forward like that and leave 2v1 at the back. A draw would have been a great result for them.
