5 from the top 4. 14 games to go - next 2 games huge coming up and looking forward to them, Spurs at home followed by Southhampton. Hopefully Sturridge starts up, backline holding up clean sheets last 3games, a real test contesting Kane in present form.

I should not watch the last 20 mins of matches more often. seems we pull a rabbit out of the hat when i dont see it. Happy Mario scored, not happy he stormed off.

I left at HT having to leave for the office - hoping we would come out and knock em off. Kept checking Live Score updates, pen pops up fingers crossed for us and it was. My son told me laughing we subbed Sturridge for Mario that I thought made sense why not but didn't Lalana came on as well. I was rapt Mario finally put one away for us but wtf did he storm off for anybody know ? Edited by M.L.: 11/2/2015 10:31:24 AM

Edited by M.L.: 11/2/2015 10:31:24 AM Think hes pretty pissed about being dropped. After he scored he didnt really celebrate or react despite the whole team mobbing him. That's his thing, he rarely celebrates. His view is that is his job, there's a quote from him saying a postman doesn't celebrate every time he delivers a letter. Was a bit disappointed he headed straight to the change rooms at the end and didn't at least walk around and clap the fans, although I wouldn't say he 'stormed off'. Great win for us in what is a massive month.

Balotellis 'reason' for heading down the tunnel. https://twitter.com/skyfootball/status/565450257178193920I missed it this morn, but he hardly stormed off, just left straight away.

God, mountain out of a mole hill with Balo.
At least people focusing on something OTHER than his inability to hit the net
Jordon Ibe is a super talented player. I remember watching him in pre season a couple of seasons ago and I thought he had potential.
He makes it look very easy, not afraid to take his man on and has done a great job in a largely unfamiliar position.
Stoked we brought him back from Derby and I think he certainly has a part to play.
With Lucas out for 6 weeks we have a bit of a dilemma... push Can up to CM alongside Hendo but then who comes in? Johnson has played RCB before but trash, or Lovren who hasn't really covered himself in glory.
On the note of Can, what a fucking weapon. The lad is a beast. Honestly such a great player and he has potential to be someone key for us for many many years to come. Love the bloke.
I think I would push him up to CM just because I don't trust Allen or Gerrard alongside Hendo in all the games. Gerrard can sometimes do a job but not consistently.
I'd go with Lovren-Skrtel-Sakho , Can alongside Hendo and then Moreno left and Marko/Ibe on the right
Coutinho and Sterling in behind Sturridge. Although I think Lallana could come in for Cou for a game or two, he's played about 20 games straight and he's started to dip a bit. Still playing ok though.
I guess leaves likes of Lallana Balo Allen Gerrard Enrique Kolo Johnson Marko/Ibe on the bench.
We need to continue this run and the next two games are CRUCIAL. Need 4 pts from them I reckon
We are capable of going on runs, we've just strung a nice little one together but need to kick on from here.
Good to see Mig back to form too.

imno good to see you posting. Agree on Ibe, he's certainly beefed up as well since seeing him last, as you say out of position but looked strong comfortable on the ball, took them on down the right flank as I said was impressed. Between he and Can good future prospects for the club :d Can also is solid/strong perfect for the PL, yes I'd like to see him next to Hendo, strong pairing..... I think rotating Cou Lalana would keep them both keen and fresh for the run home. Your other comments sound about right barring injuries. Week by week imno, sure is promising though......

Firstly, I'm not too confident about getting past Preston. But the longer this season goes on, the more it just looks like it is set for United v Liverpool in the Cup final.
Gerrard's birthday, his last game, a final against United, you can just see it happening. I don't think there would be a better one to win or a worse one to lose for either side.

I just couldn't get up this morn - my son tyring to get me out of bed  Yes good win he said we looked strong - Mario put one on target the keeper couldn't hold that Lalana finished off. We start getting Sturridge into form backed up with Sterling with Balo coming onto form things are looking up. Well IF the Cup final ends up as that I'll be a nervous wreck

So Markovic has supposedly been given a 4 match ban by UEFA following his red against Basel.
The fuck? Hoping someone in UEFA made a typo.

The fuck? Hoping someone in UEFA made a typo. Nope no typo. It apparently has something to do with the red he got for Benfica last season in the Semi Final which meant he got 4 games instead of 3. Edited by sydneycroatia58: 19/2/2015 11:33:18 AM

Seems legit
Annoying for what was a stupid red, but with Ibe in form and doing ok I would be ok with him playing that RWB role anyway
For tomorrow I hope it is

Delivers sooner or later :) As I said - Mario finally coming to grips, Sturridge yet to hit his straps and Sterling were finally getting there.....as long as they avoid injury now. Win - Mondays game next [-o<

Balo's four goals for us have been in 82nd, 83rd, 85th and 86th minutes
All a bit of nonsense re the penalty, Balo just posted on instagram 'thanks Hendo for letting me take the penalty'
I gotta say I don't like players overriding the coach because I'm sure they set pen takers but I certainly feel much more confident in Balo taking penalties than I would if it was Hendo!
On to Soton now. Another CS, Ibe as well what a superstar he will be, heard he's signed a new contract too.

The only question that should be asked is why Henderson was anywhere near the penalty in the first place when Balotelli had only missed 2 penalties in his career before this one.
Gerrard also really shouldn't be criticising Balotelli publicly for showing Henderson some supposed disrespect.

A good win ! Cout hammers one 3minutes into the game, what a start ! We were lucky at the same time they really pressed as you'd expect, sound defense by the Skert and Mignolet has comeback very well. 3 big games coming up.
