Thsts a lot out of the salary cap for an U/23 player and i doubt that Newcastle would let him go.

I don't believe this to be true and if it is, this is a bad move:
1) We already have enough defensive mids
2) He hates Roddy Vargas and Roddy Vargas hates him
3) Merrick likes Brebner and Broxham too much, good luck getting game time.
4) Salary cap?

Ummmmm, It was confirmed a couple of weeks ago that Stu won't be playing for the jets next year after he didn't reply to their dead line.

Stu's a great player but $490,000 surely he's not worth that. He was very ordinary for the jets most of the season.

Very few (if any) moves in the A-League are direct transfers from one club to another. The players are either out of contract or released before they sign up.

$490,000 is way over the top for someone that the club doesn't actually need. Maybe Brebs is on his way out? Maybe Broxham? Or is Muscy secretly retiring?

Muscat's gonna play 'Libero' for victory this year. I reckon he might retire about halfway through the season when his legs cant prop him up anymore.

That's probably the only reason that Victory will be even entertaining that thought. Neither Brebs nor Broxham fit into that role and and apart from signing youth, Stu's the best option despite his differences with the club. I just hope this isn't Ljubo all over again.

not the first time it has been mentoined and not that unlikely. I rated Musialik, better than Broxham and at his best, probably Brebner too. I suspect Muscat's day as a DM are over as shown by how Merrick played him in the centre of defense. Either way, Musialik will add much depth to our squad and will mean we will have players competiting for a starting spot in the side and not just getting on default like last season.
