Yeah...it's just a fucking mad song. And yeah, the lyrics are just there to complement the awesome sounds of the insturments. And if you've got Synesthisure, the song is just mindblowing. And unlike mr cent's contributions to music, That song flows fantastically in ebbs and peaks and the grammar of the lyrics is actually understandable and accurate.
I just uh...
downloaded
...Mer De Noms by A Perfect Circle and I'm kinda enjoying that at the moment too.8-[

I've got the full Tool discography including Salival:) And Stinkfist is still an awesome song. How do you only have half an Album?? I never really got into Deftones. Might have to give them another spin.

Awesome stuff. Top buy. Leviathan, the album they released before hand is just as good. A bit rawer in sound, and the vocals are less refined, but just as good.

I'd say I'll have a copy within the week then. It really is one of the best metal albums of the 00's that I've heard.

Yup, no argument from me there. Album has it all for mine. The songwriting is absolutely amazing, and the musicianship is incredible. They pull it off live too. Rivaled only by The Blackening and A7X's ST album for the best releases of the past few years for mine.

Quote:Rivaled only by The Blackening and A7X's ST album for the best releases of the past few years for mine I still gotta get that A7X album off you8-[:P As for the Blackening, that's been called the best metal album of all time of late, they're deeming it higher than Master Of Puppets.

Quote:So im guessing you saw them last time round, in 2007 I believe? Are Puscifier worth a listen? Nah, I missed out, didn't have the $$ at the time. Puscifier have some good stuff and some absolute garbage. I wouldn't pay for that and they're on the bottom of my "to download" list. Quote:Kinda like your spoiler tag states... I kinda download the whole album all at once...people post entire albums on megaupload et al and as long as you know what you're looking for... Made Of Scars - StoneSour.

^ Douchebags... there is an underground for rap and hip hop in the US. ](*,) Quote:when you listen to Aussie rap, its kinda meant as a joke. Only a few songs are jokingly made. Although Aussie Hip Hop and rap is associated with a larrikin attitude, but depending on the artists, usually only 2 or 3 songs on an album at most are comedic in nature. The Herd and Urthboy are more political whereas say the Hilltop Hoods are more retrospective in nature. Aussie hip hop is mainly influenced by their 1980s-90s american counterparts, and frequently 'dis' the modern day equivalent. Edited by martyB: 14/8/2008 07:10:22 PM

Heaps of stuff...usually in mastering or engineering and Aussie...don't remember what he's done. Doesn't produce anything I don't think.

For me, Slayer tops it... I thought there'd be a few sceptics out there on their new album after St. Anger (which i personally didnt't mind, even if it wasn't very classic metallica), any reason not to be?

Slayer run it close. South Of Heaven is one of my favourite songs of all time. But theres just something about old Metallica, it just sounds so good. Yeah, St.Anger isn't that bad...nor are load or re-load. They're not Metallica, but still, they're only just short of being good albums. As for the new album, check this vid out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UzhTe5grIoU , its footage from the Ozzfest tour, playing one of the new songs. Its fairly good quality too. Also the sound bite at the start is stuff they're 'leaked'. It definitely sounds like older Metallica. Not MOP, etc...but I don't think anyones expecting that, but back to their sound around the black album. Also, Kirk learnt how to play guitar again, which is always a good sign:p

I just prefer the slightly darker music style of Slayer, and Araya is much better on the vocals imo. Their solos and riffs aren't too bad either :P
But yeah, that new Metallica looks pretty promising.

I don't think Araya is that much better...I'd have them fairly even. And I'd take a Hammett solo over Kings' 'hit every string on every fret within 10 seconds' style of soloing:p
Marilyn Manson - This Is Halloween
Excellent cover of the classic from Nightmare Before Christmas. The song was almost made for Manson.

How was Trivium Munky? I had some mates go and they said Trivium were awesome. Mixed reviews on Daysend though...

WTF IS THAT???? Zac Dela Rocha no doubt, but what is that? Never heard of it, but judging by him, they could/will be huge. Splain them to me! Is Morello in it too? Whats it made up of?
And yeah, i realize i could just google them, but what fun would that be?

it's obviously Zack de la Rocha on vocals & Jon Theodore (X Mars Volta). EP is out now - an album should follow later this year. If you were a fan of RATM, you should check it out! http://www.onedayasalion.org/

Missed/missing all of those bands due to lack of funds. But yes, I heard Trivium were brilliant, and the new song they released sounds very promising. Have high hopes for their new album. Also, you might be interested in this: Lacuna Coil HORSE The Band Poison The Well Houston Calls Straylight Run Ace Enders Lamb Of God Rival Schools Every Time I Die Cancer Bats New Found Glory Gallows Say Anything Alkaline Trio In Flames Evergreen Terrace Maylene Chiodos 36 Crazyfists Moneen Devildriver Unearth This a leak of what apparently is the lineup for Soundwave next year. I have no idea if its real or not, but god I hope it is.

Ah yes, i love Soundwave (the line-ups, the actual set up is terrible). Pity, but i can guarantee you that is a fake list. I've been following it and its not released though that did excite me when i saw it first. Chances are quite a few of those bands will be on it though (just imagining Lamb Of God, DevilDriver and In Flames would make an awesome festival). The leaked bands so far:
Lacuna Coil Poison The Well The Audition Ace Enders HORSE The Band Straylight Run Houston Calls Maylene and the Sons of Disaster
Not too big on any really. HORSE would be interesting, and i don't mind Lacuna Coil or Poison The Well. I'm guessing, but I'd expect an announcement of bands within the month.
