I have a feeling this one will end in a draw.

India are missing Bhuvneshwar Kumar who might be India's best fast bowler but also can bat . His batting average is 24.5 in test match cricket and 29 in first class cricket.

Australia are winning the series with only 2 batsmen in the side who have totally cemented their place in the team, Warner and Smith. Clarke if he was fit would be the third.
Rogers has done well in the last two tests with four 50s and a chance to go on in the current innings but he is not a long term prospect and his form was far from great before these 50s.
Watson is not up to being a test match batsman.
So there are at least 2 places up for grabs, perhaps 3.
Burns and Shaun Marsh are in the side and could grab a permanent spot and Mitch Marsh might come straight back into the team.
The other in form options are headed by Cowan, Ferguson, Voges. Doolan is mentioned but has not be scoring many runs.
Cowan has been given his chance and failed, Shaun Marsh has never really cemented his place and has done nothing in his innings so far this time.

I think Australia should make some changes for the 4th test. Drop Watson and Shaun Marsh unless he gets a good score in this innings. Move Burns to 3 and bring in Voges and Ferguson at 5 and 6. Voges is not really a long term option but he is in great form.

So Warner, Rogers, Burns, Smith, Ferguson, Voges, Haddin, Johnson, Harris (Starc if Harris not fit), Lyon, Hazlewood.

India need to drop Dhawan and perhaps Pujara.

Like the team apart from Voges. But I guess with only big bash on for the next month it's hard for anyone to make a case, and as you say he was in form. Age might not worry the selectors too much either with the Ashes so close.
