Theres only a few bands there I don't want to see.
Alice In Chains. IN FLAMES - that puts me in heaven LoG DevilDriver FAAAAAAAAAAAAAARk Alkaline 36 Crazy
Its incredible that we have this, and then we have BDO. BDO been around for 15+ years and Soundwave sooo much better in only 3 years.

Bloudhound gang is completely out of the blue. There are more bands on there that I want to see than there are that I don't. Holy shit.

But wouldn't you fucking know it I love The Subways, and have since I missed their BDO tour. Edit: Do you have a link for The Subways? I kinda need proof to settle me down :p Edited by Nico: 24/9/2008 12:33:10 AM

I don't know how they've done it, but they've exceeded the hype I created in my head.
EDIT: No link on subways, but word from a guy on another forum who is good friends with the promoter, and knows his shit. They are there. Apparently its only $110, Which is HOLY FUCK again.

Soundwave is a fucking shithouse festival and Ive been to the two in Sydney and every year it gets worse and worse. Big day out is better. If the Sydney Soundwave is not at Sydney Park then im there for sure. I think ill have more of a chance to get tickets to Soundwave than the stupid way the BDO sells tickets.

Yeah, apparently Sydney was really poorly organised last year. However Melbourne was awesome. It has been moved to the Sydney Showgrounds now. Still fucking hyped.

Its TBC. I've been to the last 2 as well in Sydney. What was wrong with the first year? For me it only became an issue when it became MUCH MUCH larger last year. The website says how they have improved. Tbh, even if its as badly organised as last year I'll still go. Last year was awesome. People need to get over whinging about long lines and too much dirt etc and just enjoy the music. Sure, it would be a lot better, but it won't stop me going to such epic events.

Call me unpatriotic or whatever, but I've never been a big fan of Waltzing Matilda. However, Andre Rieu's rendition is quite good. http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=08zOAa9tGng

Still Waltzing Matilda to me :P. The only time it sounded good for me was the Uruguay game. That was scarily good.

Unearth - Sanctity in Brothers
So stoked they're playing at Soundwave. Also, According to their myspace blog, Underoath have contacted the SW promoter and asked if they can play at the festival, hope they get added, they'll be fun live.

I think they are coming fairly shortly anyway aren't they? Or just been? Either way, its a great sign that bands like that are asking to come...

They're just about to tour, but somethings happened to their shows apparently, they had to change venues in Brisbane, which then meant they had to reschedule Sydney, so they want to make it up to their fans by coming back and doing soundwave. They were being brought out by the same promoter, so i reckon it'll happen.
