Ah righto, I just wrongfully assume that everyone who follows the game must play it... Thought I might have played you too cause I was born in 90.

Tumut actually. They don't have a first grade team :P. Played second grade for about half the season, though our 18's squad is waaay better anyway. We made grand final last three years, then this year lost semis two weeks ago. Our dynasty which only got us one minor premiership and no majors... I topped the goalscoring charts for all grades last year too. Most of us are moving on next year to other places. Not a great comp anyway. Who did your mate play for?

Yeah. I wasn't there for that game. We had our best 5 players out. Would have won so easily, we did every other game that season... They moved up half way through I think, I remember playing Sharks early on...

BDO Line-up has leaked:
tv on the radio pendulum the living end sneaky sound system eddy current suppression ring neil young simian mobile disco bullet for my valentine the ting tings my morning jacket youth group tiki the grates cog the prodigy birds of tokyo tzu my morning jacket arctic monkeys cut copy
Not sure if this 100% but i think it is...Very tempted to go. Bullet will be fun, and Cog and Birds of Tokyo are awesome. Arctic Monkeys, the Prodigy, Living end will all be great too.

Yeah, I think my trips back on. Only first announcement too. Prodigy and Bullet are making it a near must trip.

Young is old hat :P. I'm liking the Aussie bands picked, but then again you can see them any time. Second announcement needed tbh. Will probably get tix as mates will want to go as they are big Prodigy fans. Soundwave is miles better anyway.

Yeah...Soundwave is looking more promising. But I might give that a miss and just do the various sideshows. Especially NIN.

Talk is there won't be Soundwave Sidies. Hope there is to combat the inevitable clashes (NIN & LoG for one).

The only 'Sidewaves', are the Goldfinger shows so far, and that's because they had to pull out of their last tour. There are no Sideshows being organised as of yet. Fair play to them, why would you organise something that will take away income from your main event. If SW sells out quick, their probably will be, but don't count on it.
As for the BDO, I'm not sure anymore. TLE,Cog and Bullet, I've all seen before, twice in fact. Birds of Tokyo are local, so there will be plenty of chances to see them. Arctic Monkeys and The prodigy, I'm not too fussed on missing. Not too mention the tickets go on sale the day before SW, which is going to hurt the wallet.

Often the second announcement brings goodness, and the lack of internationals makes me think there good be a few good bands to come.

Yeah, you make a fair point. Not to mention, I really don't see a second headliner there. Unless they intend to put the prodigy on the main stage. Would make for interesting clash of fans between The Prodigy and Neil Young.:p

Prodigy will headline Boiler, surely. Neil could well headline Main Stage. Its a bit of a worry tbh. They really haven't gone out there with the line-up. Its pretty basic really. I'll be buying my ticket on the hope of some good indie bands or something. Kasabian would be nice.

They've played it safe, there's no bands on there that shown they've taken a risk. Neil Young will headline the Main stage yes, but then whose second headliner? Arctic Monkeys is the only other name i could see doing it. I think Soundwave has shocked them a little bit.
As it stands, I'll probably hit up the Cog sideshow, because i can see them being supported by Birds of Tokyo. Bullet sideshow will be good too.

But with NIN and Alice in Chains, Soundwave has really pulled a big rabbit out of the hat. I'm glad, because not only does that give me an awesome festival to go to, it also means that 'hopefully' the BDO will try and compete.
