I know it's a while away, but it's got me thinking, how would we determine the GF commentator? The pinacle of text commentary
Maybe FM should get each commentator to vote 3-2-1 (without being able to vote on themselves) on who we think are the best commentators and go from there. Obviously would depend on which teams were involved in the Grand Final and where it was held. For example, Ben who is a Roar man, his team may host the Grand Final and he would be going to the game I would assume.

Yep - I don't think I'm much chance of NOT going to the Grand Final this year, so probably count me out. I would have said that about mizza too a few weeks ago... But I like the idea, would be a good way to decide it and reward people who we think are doing a good job with plum games.

Hey lads. My internet has been down all day - I'm posting from my phone - so if anyone can be around in case I can't get on by kickoff it'd be awesome

I went and grabbed a whopper from HJ's, came home and through I'd see how many viewers we had, and realised not alot was going on! Tell you what a double header takes it out of you, especially when both matches have last minute controversies. Just for the record, the Fury match topped at 29 viewers.

I can do the Sunday games - possibly heading down for GCU/PG on Monday, so might be available for those too but probably not.

Bugger, that would suggest not.
Best thing to do is when you start the coverage check the 442 home-page and see if the banner is up, if not, give KA or Ben Somerfield a PM, they gets the banner up pretty quickly.

Hey guys, jsut before I go,
The Asian Cup starts in a week. I'll post a full fixture list when I get back (Mon/Tues), and we can start thinking about commentary for that. At the least, I'd suggest we cover the major nations: Australia, Japan, SoKo, etc. I'll try and jiggle it around so everyone gets a go covering a socceroos match.
Maybe this weekend, just start mentioning, at the end of your coverage, "Don't forget, if you want to follow all the action from the 2011 Asian Cup in Qatar, We will be providing coverage of Selected Matches" or something similar, just so people know.
Cheers lads.

Good idea.
I think we should follow SoKo as they are in our group, but I don't think we need to follow Japan v UAE or whoever the crap nations are in their group.

ok no worries funky.
also guys, i dunno about you, but ive been plugging the forums. ill put it in before commentary, maybe at half time and post game. sometimes if the game is dull, ill plug it during the match, just depends. not sure if you all want to do it. hopefully it will bring more traffic to the site and to our games.
