i would have been able to step in if i was feeling a bit better.
had an allergy breakout on thursday and woke up on friday with a swollen mouth. thankfully the swelling has gone down, but ive got these cracks around my mouth, esp in the corner. its damn hard to open my mouth, ive been on a water and soup diet.
doc got me on a strict monitoring, so would have been away for the second half.

Hey guys, just letting you know I won't be around again till Late Tuesday, and I don't have time to post the fixtures atm, so if you could just check it out yourselves and post your availability for next week, that'd be great. Still don't have anyone for the 2 Wednesday games, but that's Australia Day, so I'm not expecting anyone to do it.

Have a thought worth sharing, shoot me down if you wish.
Obviously we are expanding all the time, currently we do:
- A-League matches - Socceroo's matches - Selected Olyroo's/Joey's matches - Asian Champions League matches
How can we attract a different market? In my opinion, the EPL.
Should we start incorporating blockbusters? Or title-defining matches? Or just matches that any of the commentary team could put their hand up during the week and say 'I want to do Villa vs Blackpool this week because I'll be watching it and most likely bored'.
Worth a discussion, I thought.

I'd be happy to do selected EPL matches - like a match of the round or something to start. The problem would be promising too much - I sincerely doubt we'd have enough people to do more than one or two matches a round. If we kept it as marquee games plus the match of each round - making sure we kept 'marquee games' defined as derbies, etc, to maximise viewership across the board in those games, and covered at least one game a round when the fixtures might not be so interesting... I reckon we could succeed.
It's a problem going up against existing coverage, though. Guardian etc do such a great job.

Should we add Craig Foster to our twitter feeds? http://twitter.com/craig_fosterSeems to provide good analysis.

I just dont see us getting enough of an audience for it... there are other services like Sky, BBC who provide that kind of thing too... I'd be glad to be proved wrong!

He does provide good analyis but he provides it every 2 fucking minutes. Annoying as hell. With the EPL, I think we, as commentators should be able to do this for our enjoyment. Commentating the other Asian Cup matches involving teams which aren't Australia rather seems like a chore, that we are doing it for the viewers, which is fine, considering this is a service for the viewers, but doing the EPL games , especially if WE choose the games, it's something that excites us, and provides a service for the viewers IF they want. Of course we are coming against some real powerhouse media outlets, but I know I would get a lot of enjoyment out of it. :d

Maybe this week we can start a "match of the round" game to test the waters. See how many viewers we get then we can take it from there

No games this weekend unfortunately.
If this was to happen, would we do the whole 'match of the round' thing or just the most viewer friendly time. Because Man Utd vs Arsenal at 4:30am won't really rake in the numbers, but a match at 10:30 Sunday night might.
